review + reveal: charmed aroma winnie the pooh candle

Winnie the Pooh....Winnie the Pooh....chubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff.....Okay, now that the song is permanently stuck in your head! It isn't a secret that Disney is a massive part of my life. I truly can't remember a time in my life without my favourite animated characters. Winnie the Pooh and his friends were an essential part of my childhood and continue to be a meaningful part of my adulthood. So, it only makes sense that the Winnie the Pooh candle from Charmed Aroma was an absolute must-have. This scented jewellery candle contained a themed necklace inside. When it comes to the packaging....this is simple but sweet. It is a standard two-wick candle with a golden lid. Nothing overwhelming or overly thrilling. (Just for reference, some of the other Disney candles from Charmed Aroma are really elaborate. Take a peek at my previous post about the Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse candles for proof of that.) However, the print on the outside of the glass container is adorable. It has such a lovely spring vibe and effortlessly incorporates those classic Winnie the Pooh images. From honey pots to flowers to bees, the theme is effortlessly incorporated into this release. 

Now to discuss the actual scent of the candle. According to the packaging, this has a honey blossom scent. That in itself is a cute way to tie in the Winnie the Pooh theme. However, there is something interesting to note when it comes to the candle scent. When you take the lid off the candle...it smells like sweet and floral. But when you actually light the candle? The scent practically disappears. It is really odd. I've never had that happen before. Even when the candle was lit for several hours, there was only a very, very light hint of floral. If you are someone that prefers heavier candle scents, the Winnie the Pooh candle is unlikely to deliver. On the other hand, if you prefer something ultra light (and barely there) this will certainly suit your needs.

Okay....the moment of truth. Are you ready to find out what was inside the Winnie the Pooh candle? Here is the reveal. 

There were several possible designs. Some were pretty standard (like a honey pot and bee hive) and some were a little more unexpected (a moon and star theme). All of them featured the lovable Winnie the Pooh himself. Personally, I was hoping for either the moon and star design or the heart shaped design. Lucky for me...the heart shaped design was hidden inside my candle. It is absolutely adorable and shows Winnie the Pooh and a bumble bee inside of a silver heart. So cute! The design is adorable and quite detailed. I absolutely love it. However, I was really surprised by the size. This is extremely small. If you are a fan of dainty jewellery, this will be absolutely perfect. Otherwise, you may want to layer this piece with another necklace. 

All Charmed Aroma pieces can be appraised on their website. Each piece of jewellery comes with a code that you punch in to reveal the estimated value of the accessory inside your candle or bath bomb. (Though it is difficult to know how accurate these appraisals really are.) This Winnie the Pooh necklace was appraised at $70. That is much higher than many of the other Charmed Aroma pieces that have been revealed lately. 

The packaging was simple but nicely themed. The scent was a little faint. But all in all, the Winnie the Pooh candle from Charmed Aroma was a winner. Why? That necklace is so stinking cute! I love the design and it will certainly pair well with other Disney pieces in my jewellery collection. This was a serious win.
