2 looks 1 palette: poisoned forest eye and face palette (wet n wild)

What eyeshadow palettes have you been reaching for lately? For me, it is the Poisoned Forest Eye and Face Palette from Wet n Wild. This is something that was purchased ahead of spooky season, but has been in heavy rotation ever since. There is something about the colour story that speaks to me, no matter the season. Since it is something that I use at least a few times a week, it seemed right to create a 2 looks 1 palette post to highlight some my favourite shades in this drugstore palette.

Eyeshadow palettes come in all different shapes and sizes. Some are teeny tiny and hold only a few colours. Others are oversized and offer a lot of variety. The 35 MI Magic Mirror Artistry Palette from Morphe falls into the latter category. With thirty five eyeshadows to choose from, it is possible to create all sorts of looks. On that note...it is time for 2 looks 1 palette.

As far as I am concerned, chocolate is an essential. I have always had a sweet tooth, but chocolate is my main weakness. When my husband and I visited Niagara Falls last month, we walked around, looked at the amazing views, and visited the Hershey's Chocolate World store. There are all sorts of wonderful shops and restaurants in Niagara Falls, but it is the cookie sandwich at the Hershey's store that thrills me most. In addition to checking out the bakery section, we looked at the different merchandise available. There were t-shirts, pillows, shorts, and giant bars of chocolate. There used to be a lot of Urban Decay in my makeup collection. After all, there was a time where the Naked Eyeshadow Palettes were a total must in the beauty community. I hit pan on the original palette thanks to nights out with friends and used the Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette almost every single day for work. Ahh...makeup memories. Over the years, there have been a few Urban Decay products that have caught my eye (like the Naked Ultraviolet Eyeshadow Palette and the Stoned Vibes Eyeshadow Palette) but generally speaking, there haven't been a ton of items from the brand added to my shopping cart. When I saw the Wild Greens Eyeshadow Palette at Winners for a massively discounted price, my nostalgia took hold, and I decided to see what was happening with Urban Decay. Eyeshadow palettes will always be my weakness. Truth be told, there is something about a thoughtful assortment of colours and finishes that excites me. After all, it is with those colours and finishes that I am able to express the inexpressible parts of myself. The right combination of eyeshadow shades can reveal my emotions, fears, desires, and hopes. Those products seem to speak words unspoken. Other makeup items are wonderful, and I love a good blush or lipstick, but eyeshadow is special. It is the heart of every creation. I suppose that is why there are so many eyeshadow palettes in my collection. Each one has the power to inspire and reveal. More recently, the 35A Up 'Til Dawn Artistry Palette from Morphe has been in heavy rotation. I just love all of the grungy greens and warm browns. There has been a lot of Ariana Grande in my life lately. Earlier this week, there was a post here on the creation of beauty is art. dedicated to her Mod Blush and Mod Vanilla perfumes. Now? It is time for a 2 looks 1 palette post for the r.e.m. beauty Gogo Boots Eyeshadow Palette. This palette was reviewed here recently, but since there were so many thrilling colours to choose from, I wanted to make sure each and every one was showcased in some way. The review post focused on that gorgeous taupe shadow. Now? It is time to let the other eyeshadows shine. Here are two looks created using this r.e.m. beauty palette.

3 looks 1 palette: morphe x nyane (fierce fairytale artistry palette)

Sometimes, makeup ruts happen. Other times, there seems to be so much room for colour and creativity. The latter seems true right now. That is probably because of the Morphe x Nyane Fierce Fairytale Artistry Palette from Morphe. Talk about room for imagination! There are so many exciting colours and finishes to use. Though the palette is a collaboration with a content creator, Nyane, this was not purchased for that reason. In fact, Nyane is not someone that I am familiar with. Morphe tends to have lots of collections with people that I do not know...but I suppose I am not the target audience for things anymore. (That has certainly been a bit of an adjustment in recent years.) The palette was one that I was able to purchase for a discounted price, and well, the colours were simply too beautiful to resist. Normally, there are 2 looks 1 palette posts here on the creation of beauty is art. but seeing as the Morphe x Nyane palette has three different sections, it only made sense to do a 3 looks 1 palette post featuring the Fierce Fairytale Artistry Palette from Morphe. 2 looks 1 palette: kvd moongarden vegan eyeshadow palette

I remember hearing about the KVD Moongarden Vegan Eyeshadow Palette when watching a Lauren Mae Beauty video on YouTube. It wasn't a palette that I had seen before then...but it was love at first sight. After all, there was a lot to love. Just look at the stunning design on the front of the palette. Talk about remarkable. There was a similar design on the inside as well, with butterflies, flowers, and crystals all over. This design was so different to anything else that I had seen. It just felt magical. The colour story also excited me. To be honest, the Moongarden Vegan Eyeshadow Palette was something that I did not imagine finding at all, let alone at Winners of all places, but I did, and it was immediately purchased. Huda Beauty eyeshadows have been somewhat hit or miss for me. The Mercury Retrograde Eyeshadow Palette was meh at best but the Warm Brown Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette was stellar. Since my experiences have been fairly mixed over the years, Huda Beauty is not a must-have brand for me. I am always open to trying different products, but new releases from the brand are not automatically added to my wish list. The Color Block Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette was a notable exception. There were two different versions: Orange and Purple Color Block Obsessions and Blue and Green Color Block Obsessions. Since there is an abundance of purple eyeshadow in my makeup collection already, it was the Blue and Green Color Block Obsessions that ultimately won out. Warm toned eyeshadow palettes have been popular for a while. And for good reason! There is something so beautiful about warm colours on the eyes. No wonder most of my go-to makeup looks are warm neutrals. That being said, lately I have been a little obsessed with cool toned shadows. Unfortunately, my collection was lacking in cool colours. There were a few here and there, but those colours were scattered throughout a dozen or so different eyeshadow palettes. Thankfully, the perfect palette happened to fall into my lap. I've said it before and I'll say it again: discount makeup is the best kind of makeup. Maybe it's the thrill of the hunt or perhaps it just feels nice to save a little money. Whatever the reason...it is always exciting to find something special for less. Several months back, there was a ton of makeup at my local Winners, which included the 35S Sweet Oasis Artistry Palette from Morphe. This is a brand that I am pretty familiar with at this point. I've tried more than a handful of their eyeshadow palettes, brushes, and lipsticks over the years with varying success. Though I've heard it said that smaller eyeshadow palettes are becoming more popular than larger eyeshadow palettes...I like them all. Something I enjoy about the larger palettes from Morphe? There is so much to choose from. Some days, that variety is a must. Talk about an unusual eyeshadow palette. This may be the first shoe-shaped makeup item in my collection, but it stands out for other reasons as well. This Rude Cosmetics x Koi Footwear Boots Collection eyeshadow palette is all about colour. There is nothing boring or predictable about this particular release. Since the month of January tends to be a bit of a downer (once all of the Christmas magic has worn away and it is back to the old routines)...it seemed like the perfect time to make the most of this exciting eyeshadow palette. According to the Rude Cosmetics website, there are other shoe-shaped palettes in this collection. Some have more pastel colours and others are a little more neutral. The Lozo Green Rain Boots palette is anything but neutral. There are fourteen pressed pigments and shadows inside...and they all stand out. Ready to take a look at the palette? Everyone has a palette that got away. You know, that limited edition release that you decided not to purchase, only to hear about endlessly from other makeup lovers. For me...that palette was the Jackie Aina x Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadow Palette. At the time that it was released, there was another palette that interested me more, so that was the one that was added to my collection. In the weeks and months that followed, the Jackie Aina x ABH palette was often mentioned as a must-have. The reasons? The intense pigmentation, the unique colour story, and the overall performance. I was intrigued, but it was too late, and I knew it had become the palette that got away. Until recently, that is. During a visit to Winners a few months back, the palette was sitting there in all its glory, protected in a clear plastic case. Without hesitation, that palette was taken to the checkout line. The best eyeshadow palettes are the ones that can be used to create many different looks. Variety is key! Thankfully, there is a good amount of that happening in the Essence Dancing Green Eyeshadow Palette. This is part of the same collection as the recently reviewed Bronzed This Way Eyeshadow Palette. Lately, my focus has been on holiday themed makeup and holiday themed makeup sets. Some are from years past and some are brand spanking new. Speaking of the latter...my mom recently gifted me the Glow Up, Glim Up Mega Palette from Avon. The palette is ultra compact and nicely themed, which makes it an ideal pre-Christmas gift. It was only a few months ago that the Revolution Forever Dynamic Tranquil Eyeshadow Palette was reviewed on the creation of beauty is art. (In case you missed that review, you can take a look at it here.) Since then, this small but mighty drugstore release has been used often in my day-to-day life. As I've mentioned previously, doing my makeup brings me a lot of joy. So, even though I work from home, this is something that I try to make time for each day. This Revolution palette is perfect for the days when I want something ultra shimmery or ultra colourful. I went (mostly) makeup free for about a week thanks to the heat. The temperatures were intense and the air conditioner in my apartment just could not manage to keep up. That meant there were some very hot days....and very little makeup. Thankfully, the intense heat has broken and I have been able to enjoy the process of applying makeup once again. The Coca Cola x Morphe Eyeshadow Palette has been helping me to celebrate this shift in the weather. If you recall from my mini review post, this particular eyeshadow palette is loaded with lots of beautiful earthy colours inspired by the 1970s. Eyeshadow is my favourite. Though there are many fabulous beauty products out there...eyeshadow is where the fun stuff really happens. You can embrace colour or stick to something simple and neutral. The Morphe x Maddie Ziegler collaboration, The Imagination Palette, makes it possible to do both. There are so many fabulous and unexpected colours as well as warm neutrals and shades to create a bold smokey eye look. There are so many possibilities!
