#FOTD: bronze and gold fall makeup look

It is time for another #FOTD. Lately, one of my favourite things has been to do my makeup for no reason at all. I really don't leave the house much (thanks to working from home and doing everything possible to stay safe)...so a little makeup look can really go a long way. Not only does it boost my mood and make me feel a little more polished, but it adds a bit of normality to my days. Not to mention a healthy dose of self expression! Since the fall season is fully underway, my go-to colours seem to be lots of warm bronzes and golds. They just scream autumn because they remind me of the leaves changing colour and all of those stunning warm shades. It also helps that warm metallics are ideal for everyday makeup looks. Ready to take a peek at this recent fall makeup look? Keep reading to find out what products were used and how this seasonal makeup was created.

Typically, each makeup product is chosen based on my mood. Maybe there is a certain type of look that I want to create or perhaps there is a palette that I have been wanting to use more often. I let my emotions guide my product choices on a regular basis. On this day? It was all about some old and new favourites. The new (or newer) item was that Coca Cola 1971 Unity Collection eyeshadow palette from Morphe and the NYX Lingerie Push Up. The old favourites come from Fenty Beauty, Cover Girl and NYX. The products used to create this  bronze and gold fall makeup look were:

  • Coca Cola 1971 Unity Collection Artistry Eyeshadow Palette from Morphe
  • Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter Duo
  • NYX Lingerie Push Up Long-Lasting Lipstick in Bedtime Flirt
  • Cover Girl The Super Sizer Waterproof Mascara
  • NYX Epic Ink Eyeliner Pen

To create this fall #FOTD, I started with the basics. A little L'Oreal Pro Glow foundation on the face and my Essence brow pencil to fill and shape the brows. Then there was a bit of bronzer to lightly contour. On the eyes, many of the eyeshadow shades were used to create this bronze and gold fall makeup look. From the Coca Cola palette, Joint Hands (medium brown) was blended through the crease and Blingalong (bronze shimmer shadow) was patted all over the lid. Then a bit of Heart of Gold (gold glitter) was patted on top. Some Iconic Italy (dark brown) was used on the outer corner and along the lower lash line. A little bit of Perfect Harmony (dark gold) was also added to the lower lash line.

To finish off the eyes, the NYX Epic Ink liner was used to create a winged liner look and a coat of The Super Sizer mascara from Cover Girl was added to create lots of drama. On the cheeks, it was an old favourite that shone. The Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter Duo was used to add a warm bronzey sort of blush look. One side of the duo is sparkly and the other is a more satin finish, but it was the satin finish that I chose for its rich colour. Then it was time for lips! When it comes to lip products, NYX always stands out for all the right reasons. The shade selection is beautiful and the products are comfortable to wear. This particular Lingerie Push Up lipstick is a favourite because of that warm brown colour. It pairs well with a lot of different makeup looks...including this bronze and gold fall creation.

Have you been incorporating fall colours into your recent makeup looks?

  9. Lol, so I found your blog just now because I was going through some of my makeup that I've either very rarely used or never used bc I forgot I had
In there was a brand new NARS eyeshadow duo Chiang Man & thought hmm, I should look & see what looks were done W this duo (I'm so used to having 3 or 4 colors to work with, & I COULD add other colors, but that kills the simplicity for me, lol) and found your post from 2017! Very pretty look W it that I'm going to give a try tmrw. Then I came to see if you were still blogging & happily enough you are! So I looked through and had to say I love that Coca-Cola pallet! I really like the colors in it & that it looks like a lot of colors you can bring together easily for pretty everyday looks. Sighhh, now I'll have to look and see if it's still available... Lol! Nice blog, looking forward to reading more 😁
