80s themed halloween look + cover girl that's rad! palette review

One Halloween costume that never goes out of style? 80s themed ensembles. This is one classic look that is fun to wear and easy to create. Need something last minute? Don't want to overspend on a store bought costume? Then the 80s are your best bet. All you need to do is grab the most colourful items from your wardrobe. Bonus points if you have acid wash jeans or a cute pair of mom jeans to pair with your colourful shirt or vest. Look for scrunchies, legwarmers, or lightening bolt earrings. Any accessories you have that are colourful, bold, and fun are fair game. When it comes to makeup, look for bright colours in your existing makeup collection. If you are looking for something new to test and try...the Cover Girl TruNaked That's Rad! Eyeshadow Palette is an absolute must. It is both affordable and 80s themed.

Cover Girl is one of the best drugstore brands out there. Not only do they have a wide variety of products for an affordable price...but they also make my all-time favourite mascara, The Super Sizer. Their TruNaked line of eyeshadows is generally impressive, with stellar formulas and a variety of finishes. More recently, they released an addition to the TruNaked line. The Cover Girl TruNaked That's Rad! Eyeshadow Palette includes eight shadows, with a combination of satin matte, shimmer, and glitter formulas. This particular eyeshadow palette is 80s themed and includes the following shade names: Leg Warmers, Take a Chill Pill, Scrunchie, No Duh!, Bodysuit, Totally Tubular, Bangin', and Pump It Up. Not only are the names perfectly on theme, but the colours includes in the palette are as well. There are lots of purple and turquoise shades as well as a black shade to add extra variety to the palette. These colours make it all too easy to create a fabulous 80s inspired look...or just something fun and colourful for everyday wear. Recently, this palette was used to create an 80s themed look....

To create this 80s themed Halloween look (or just a fun and colourful look, depending on how you look at it), I started with the satin matte purple shade, Leg Warmers, through the crease. Then it was the brightest purple, Scrunchie all over the lid and a bit of the purple glitter, No Duh! The lower lash line made good use of the turquoise colours, with Bodysuit and Totally Tubular applied liberally. To finish off this colourful makeup look, I used Take a Chill Pill, the white shimmer, in the inner corner and underneath the brow bone. Then a bit of eyeliner and mascara finished off the eye look. On the lips was the Too Faced lipstick in TF20, which is a vibrant and sparkly pink. That was it! An 80s inspired makeup look quickly and easily created at home.

If you are struggling to come up with a Halloween look or just want to embrace a little colour...the Cover Girl TruNaked That's Rad! palette is an excellent choice. Want to take a closer look at the palette? Hear a little bit more about how it performs? Be sure to check out my latest YouTube video, which is dedicated this this drugstore release:

Halloween is right around the corner. Whether you are heading to a small party or are watching movies at home...make sure you dress the part. Not sure what to wear? Not a problem. An 80s inspired look is easy and affordable to create, especially with the Cover Girl TruNaked That's Rad! Eyeshadow Palette on hand.

What will you be for Halloween? Have you tried this Cover Girl eyeshadow palette?
