2 looks 1 palette: kara beauty (cool, whatever eyeshadow palette)

Warm toned eyeshadow palettes have been popular for a while. And for good reason! There is something so beautiful about warm colours on the eyes. No wonder most of my go-to makeup looks are warm neutrals. That being said, lately I have been a little obsessed with cool toned shadows. Unfortunately, my collection was lacking in cool colours. There were a few here and there, but those colours were scattered throughout a dozen or so different eyeshadow palettes. Thankfully, the perfect palette happened to fall into my lap. (Or cart, as the case may be.) A few months back, I was browsing the makeup section at Winners and found the PRO22 Cool, Whatever Eyeshadow Palette from Kara Beauty for just $12.99 CDN. It was everything that I was looking for: all cool toned eyeshadows at an affordable price. Ready to take a peek inside? See some different makeup looks?

As you can see from the photo above, the Cool, Whatever Eyeshadow Palette has a little bit of everything. These cool toned eyeshadows certainly aren't basic or boring. There is such a nice variety of colours and finishes. That includes different cool toned browns, taupes, greys, and metallics. In terms of the quality, these are really impressive. Especially for such an affordable eyeshadow palette. Last summer, I was able to try a Kara Beauty palette and was impressed with the quality. This Cool, Whatever release is no different. The mattes are richly pigmented and blend well while the shimmers are ultra creamy and bold. This is a standout palette. Between the colour story, the variety of finishes, and the quality of the product itself, this is one of my favourite eyeshadow palettes ever. Look #1: Cool and Unusual Mattes. There are some seriously stellar matte shadows in this eyeshadow palette. There are lots of beautiful browns, but there were some greenish taupe shades that really caught my eye. To create the look above, Anyway and Just Fine were applied to the lid and along the lower lash line. Those shadows were blended through the crease with Breathing (a light brown) and then a hint of Mood Shift (a medium brown) was added to the outer corner. A little mascara and liner finished off this cool toned matte look. It was simple but really made a statement. A cool pink gloss was the perfect addition to this cool creation. As for the cheeks, I added a cool toned bronzer to bring some colour without adding too much warmth. 

Look #2: Cool Toned Metallics. Oh, how I love the shimmery metallics in this eyeshadow palette. These are gorgeous. So bold, pigmented, and head turning. There were a lot of beautiful shimmers to choose from, but ultimately, my focus was on the shade, Inhale, Exhale (cool toned green-gold). In the center of the lid, a bit of Being Edgy (light gold) was added for a bit of contrast. Muting You (shimmery black) was added through the crease and along the lower lash line. I love how dramatic the end result was. On the cheeks, I used a cool toned pink blush from Too Faced and used a cool grey lipstick from NYX. 

There is no doubt about it: the Cool, Whatever Eyeshadow Palette from Kara Beauty is fantastic. The colour story checked off all the boxes. Plus, it was affordable and had an impressive performance. There is not a single thing that I would change. This has quickly become a standout in my collection. With so many possibilities, these two makeup looks are only the beginning.
