2 looks 1 palette: jackie aina x abh eyeshadow palette

Everyone has a palette that got away. You know, that limited edition release that you decided not to purchase, only to hear about endlessly from other makeup lovers. For me...that palette was the Jackie Aina x Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadow Palette. At the time that it was released, there was another palette that interested me more, so that was the one that was added to my collection. In the weeks and months that followed, the Jackie Aina x ABH palette was often mentioned as a must-have. The reasons? The intense pigmentation, the unique colour story, and the overall performance. I was intrigued, but it was too late, and I knew it had become the palette that got away. Until recently, that is. During a visit to Winners a few months back, the palette was sitting there in all its glory, protected in a clear plastic case. Without hesitation, that palette was taken to the checkout line. Finally! I could find out whether the high-end eyeshadow palette was worthy of the hype. Keep reading for a mini review and two different makeup looks created with the collaboration eyeshadow palette.

It is obvious that this eyeshadow palette was on my wish list. As you can see from the picture above, there was good reason for this. The colour story is really beautiful and unique. I love the variety of finishes and the combinations of warm colours and bold statement shades. According to the brand, the Jackie Aina x Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadow Palette has fourteen eyeshadows in total. This includes Soleil (metallic soft champagne), Supreme (matte pink), Pinker (matte plum), Big Wig (matte purple), Dwollahs (metallic gold-olive), Credit (matte plum), Lituation (metallic taupe), Zamn (glitter rose gold), Wiggalese (metallic cranberry), Shookington (metallic purple), Trust Issues (white-gold glitter), Edges (matte deep peach), Sponsored (metallic chocolate with teal shift), and Ginger (matte caramel brown). The fact that there are pinks, purples, taupes, rose gold colours, and an assortment of browns made this a really exciting release. There are so many looks that can be created with the shadows! No wonder this palette was beloved by many. As for my experience with the palette? These shadows pack a punch. They are really pigmented. I especially love the shimmery metallic shades. The formulas are really rich and creamy. The matte shadows are intense and blend out nicely. The glitters are a little drier in texture but still look nice when applied.

Look #1: Cranberry and Gold Makeup Look. The first look in this 2 looks 1 palette post was a holiday themed creation. This was actually the makeup look that I wore out for the Marie Osmond concert earlier in the month. Since it was a Christmas concert, it was important to wear something that felt really festive. Thankfully, there were the perfect eyeshadows included in the Jackie Aina x ABH Eyeshadow Palette for that. The shade Ginger was applied through the crease, Wiggalese was applied all over the lid, a bit of Dwollahs was tapped on top, and then Credit was applied to the outer corner. A little more Wiggalese and Credit was applied along the lower lash line for a colourful (and fun) holiday makeup look. It was bold in the best possible way.

Look #2: Simple and Sparkly Makeup Look. During the holiday season, there is nothing better than a little sparkle. This particular eyeshadow palette has quite a few glittery shadows to choose from. To create the look above, it all started with Edges through the crease. Then a bit of Credit was blended slightly underneath that. The glittery white-gold was applied on the lowest portion of the lid and in the inner corner. A bit of Credit was applied along the lower lash line as well for a simple, but glittery, holiday inspired makeup look. I love that this only took a few minutes to do and the end result was really fun.

Needless to say, the Jackie Aina x Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadow Palette is a winner. There is an awful lot to love about it! The colour story is stunning, the palette is versatile, and those metallic shimmers are intense. This is one of the best Anastasia Beverly Hills palettes in my collection, because it stands out for all the right reasons. This was certainly worth the wait.

Have you tried the Jackie Aina x Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadow Palette? Which look do you like best?
