fashion obsession: kicking cowgirl designs

Shopping has long been a love of mine. Due to the pandemic, shopping trips have been extremely minimal over the last year and a half or so. In fact, I can count on one hand the number of times that I have been able to do a bit of retail therapy. On the plus side? I can add one more shopping trip to that list. Recently, my family and I went to a cottage just outside of Bobcaygeon for a week. We went into town twice during that time - once to look around and once to return to a particular store. The name of that store? Kicking Cowgirl Designs. It was love at first browse. The first time that my mom and I went into the store, we didn't even look at everything that was there because I wanted it all. This post is dedicated to my new favourite store (which is thankfully too far away for me to visit on a regular basis) and the items that came home with me from Kicking Cowgirl Designs.

First thing is first. Just what is Kicking Cowgirl Designs? This is a fashion store located in Bobcaygeon, Ontario that is all about country-inspired designs. There was a small selection of menswear and clothing for children...but my focus was fully on the womenswear. Kicking Cowgirl Designs had studded and beaded belts, bold country themed earrings, boots, cowgirl hats, rhinestone studded denim, and lots and lots of cute shirts and hoodies. The prices were a little high for my budget but the quality was really impressive and the designs were really unique. As someone who enjoys a handful of country music artists (in the past, I have been able to see Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, Rascal Flatts, Dean Brody, Steven Lee Olsen, Jaydee Bixby and Jason Greeley, among others, in concert)....I have a serious weakness for country-inspired designs.

Trip Number One: Tank Top and Hoodie. The first time my mom and I went into Kicking Cowgirl Designs, it was a little overwhelming. Like I said...I wanted everything. My budget did not exactly allow that to happen, so in the end, I chose a tank top and hoodie. The tank top has a gorgeous colour palette (navy blue tank with the pink and blue colours on the design itself) and just screams country. If the world is ever safe again and I am able to buy concert tickets, this will definitely be part of my go-to country outfit. The tank is comfortable and downright fabulous. It was $40 though! Next was the hoodie, which is probably my favourite piece. It is a soft baby pink and has a light blue design on the front. Not only is the design itself really cute but the hoodie is super soft and really long. I feel so good about myself whenever I wear it! The hoodie cost $80, which is a lot, but I actually feel like it was worth it. This hoodie is a new favourite.

Trip Number Two: Long-Sleeved Shirts. Okay...we went back. On our last full day, we made a quick stop at Kicking Cowgirl Designs to take one last look around. (Like I said, obsessed with everything.) Though there was a lot to choose from and I was having difficulty narrowing down my options, I ended up with two long-sleeved shirts. The first is a red shirt with an off-the-shoulder cut and a golden-yellow design on the front. It is really fun and would be perfect to wear out and about! It was $75. (Ack!) The second shirt called my name because of that classic print on the sleeves paired with the bright pink t-shirt material and the bright blue logo on the front. It was such a unique combination of colours and prints. It cost $55, which is a lot, but I love the shirt because it is really comfortable to wear but also makes a statement.

Needless to say, my visits to the Kicking Cowgirl Designs store were a total success. There was so much more that I wanted to take home with me....but my bank account said otherwise! Maybe one day I will be able to visit the store again. Until then, I will be enjoying these colourful, fun, country-inspired pieces day after day.

What do you think of these items? Are you a fan of country music or country-inspired style?

Yes I love to do some wellness on my trips, so my skin can relax after all of the adventures :D You're absolutely right =)

I don't know this brand but I like the styles a lot =) My favourite one would be the last sweater, the orange colour with the print on the sleeve is so cool.

You could shop at my place all the time. Every now and then the clubs were closed and there were various rules, such as wearing masks. Great clothes! I love shopping, it always cheers me up :)
