review: too faced tutti fruitti (sparkling pineapple palette)

Ahh...Too Faced. It is always a surprise to me when YouTube beauty gurus overlook (or downright trash) this brand. There is so much to love! Cute packaging. Fun themes. Impressive quality. Too Faced is without a doubt my favourite high-end makeup brand. The products always make me smile and also make it possible to pull together a wide array of fabulous looks. Speaking of Too Faced! Not too long ago, I was able to do a bit of discount shopping. (Memories. Now we are back in lockdown once again and those types of experiences are a thing of the past.) During that discount shopping trip, there were a couple of Too Faced items that caught my eye. One was the Too Faced Tutti Fruitti Sparkling Pineapple Eye Shadow Palette. 

The Tutti Fruitti line is not new to me. A couple of years ago, the Razzle Dazzle Berry Eyeshadow palette was released as part of the line. It was something that I purchased at Ulta while on a trip to the US....and it knocked my socks off. The shade selection and overall quality was downright incredible. In fact, I actually ended up ordering the Sparkling Pineapple palette from the Too Faced website for a friend of mine shortly after. The colours and theme seemed right up her alley. So, when I stumbled upon the Sparkling Pineapple palette at a steep discount ($19.99 CDN)...it was too tempting to overlook.

Too Faced describes the Sparkling Pineapple palette as a "pineapple-scented palette of glitter, metallic, and matte shades." It claims to have intense payoff and include a range of warm browns, creams and golds. There are seven shades in total: three matte, three shimmer, and one glitter. And some seriously stellar packaging. This is compact, has a magnetic closure, and is effortlessly themed. The outside is covered in glittery gold, stars, and a fun pineapple design. It is glitzy and glamorous in the best possible way! Then on the inside, it has a golden base and a cute pineapple on the bottom right portion of the mirror. 

The shade selection is top notch and has a nice variety of finishes. These colours are warm, wearable, and can take you from day to night with ease. As for the quality? This is very similar to the Razzle Dazzle palette. The shades are richly pigmented, blendable, and creamy. They are an absolute dream to work with! My favourite shade is Pineapple Cooler (the last shade on the right) and Island Queen (which is a holographic shimmer topper). My only slight criticism is that deep brown shade. It is really pretty but I would love a slightly darker colour to add a little more contrast to the other shadows.

This is one stellar Too Faced eyeshadow palette. There is just something about Sparkling Pineapple that stands out. It includes beautiful and easy to wear neutrals that still have that extra special something. The texture is smooth and creamy and the pigmentation is intense. Add in a cute theme and a fresh scent...and this is real winner.
