A little makeup goes a long way… especially during
Halloween! The right combination of colours and contours can take your costume
from store bought to best dressed. A fantastic Halloween costume isn’t just
about putting on the perfect costume. It is about creating a memorable look
from head to toe. Need a few makeup ideas to get you ready for the Halloween festivities? These ideas will make
getting ready (and looking your best) easier than ever. Whether you are running late or got invited to a last-minute
Halloween bash, these quick and easy makeup looks will take you ten minutes or
less, lashes included!
Easy Halloween Makeup Idea #1: The Living Doll
Ready to create a stunning Halloween look? Then dress up as
a Living Doll. This is one of the easiest costumes you can create, but that
doesn’t mean it needs to look like you whipped up your costume last minute. Throw on a cute dress from your closet (something in a pastel
shade, with some lace, or an adorable print is preferable), a pair of high
heels, and style your hair in ultra teased pig tails. Now for the fun stuff... your easy Halloween makeup.
Start off by moisturizing your face before using a small
stipple brush to apply your foundation. For this look, you can either opt for a
foundation that is a shade lighter than your natural complexion or you can use
Halloween makeup to get that doll-like look.
Once your foundation has been applied, start with the eyes.
Grab a few bold eyeshadow shades from your makeup collection. A bright blue or green
is perfect. Apply it all over the lid, carefully packing it on to avoid fall
out. Then take a pink or purple shade and run that along your lower lash line.
Now it’s time for the eyeliner. Grab a liquid liner and create a simple cat eye
look then add on some false lashes… the bigger the better!
You’re almost done. Take a brown eyeliner pencil and add
freckles all over your cheeks. This will give you that super cute doll-like
appearance. To create that porcelain pout, take a lip liner and draw a heart shape
that extends from your top to bottom lip. Fill in the heart with a bright
lipstick shade and cover the rest with your foundation.
Easy Halloween Makeup Idea #2: Audrey Hepburn
Another easy Halloween makeup look you can create is the iconic, Audrey Hepburn. Not only is this costume a cinch to put together but it looks totally chic. The costume itself is just as simple as the makeup look. Take a black dress from your closet, throw on some pearl earrings or a pearl necklace, and wear some black kitten heels. Simple! Sweep your hair into an updo or pull it back into a voluminous ponytail. Are you ready to get started on your makeup look?
Once you have applied your favourite foundation, focus on
the brows. Audrey was known for her super bold brows. If you don’t have them
naturally, fake it. Use a tinted brow gel or brow pencil to create ultra thick
and defined brows. When your brows are totally Audrey-worthy, move on to the
eyes. Take a white eyeliner and use it to line your inner corner, lower lash
line. Use a white shimmery eyeshadow and apply it over the shadow and then all
over your eyelid.
Now for the best part: the eyeliner. Take a liquid eyeliner
and create a super bold, sharp wing. You want it to be thick and dramatic. Then
grab your false eyelashes and some lash glue. Give the glue thirty seconds to become
tacky and then carefully apply the false lashes on your upper lash line. Add
some mascara onto your lower lashes and you’re done with the eyes!
Grab a neutral blush shade and apply it to the apples of
your cheeks, sweeping upwards slightly. Make sure you blend it well. Finish off
your easy Halloween makeup idea by taking a pink lipstick shade from your
makeup collection and carefully applying it to your lips. Ta da! You are ready
for any and all Halloween plans.
