Feel like changing up your beauty routine? There are so many
ways to go about it. For some, that might mean picking up a new face wash or
using a different mascara. For others? It is all about putting your skills to
the test. DIY doesn’t just relate to home improvements. The term can
also be applied to your skin, beauty, and hair care. Why should you do-it-yourself this season? Making your
own beauty products can save you money and ensure that only natural
products are used. Try out one of these recipes and get ready to change your beauty routine
for the better.
There is nothing better than a little time for yourself. So, pamper your skin. You can create a soothing yet exfoliating face
mask in mere minutes. Forget expensive store bought alternatives, loaded with chemicals. All you need to do is cook
half a cup of oatmeal, then add one egg, and a spoon of almond oil. Stir all of the
ingredients together. Use your fingers or a makeup brush to apply the mask
to your face. Leave for ten to fifteen minutes and rinse off.
DIY Your Own Bronzer
Hate all of the chemicals in your favourite makeup items?
You aren’t alone. Which is why at-home recipes are becoming more and more
popular. One of the most creative – and shockingly simple – has to be bronzer.
That’s right. You can DIY your very own bronzer from the comfort of your own
home. Mix together one tablespoon of cinnamon powder, a teaspoon of cocoa
powder, a teaspoon of nutmeg, and ten drops of lavender oil. Play with the
ingredients until you come up with the perfect shade for your skin. Then apply
with a small powder brush.
DIY Moisturizer
It’s hard to believe but making your own moisturizer isn’t
just possible…. it is quick and easy to do. You will never need to buy it from the
store again! Simply mix together half a cup of coconut oil, five drops of
lavender oil, and a teaspoon of liquid vitamin E. That’s it! Your moisturizer
is ready to use. Put it on before your foundation for a flawless finish.
DIY Your Own Peppermint Shampoo
Want to try out a new shampoo? Skip the hair care aisle and
get your DIY on. Add half a cup of castile soap to a container. Then add five
drops of peppermint oil. Finish off by adding half a cup of filtered water. All
you need to do now is wash your hair like you normally would. Rinse, repeat,
and feel good about your latest do it yourself project.
Give yourself the gift of natural beauty. With basic
ingredients and a few minutes of your time, you can look and feel amazing.
So, why wait? Bring a little do-it-yourself attitude to your day.
