There was a bit of stress ahead of the concert. We received an email explaining that there was a strike happening at the casino and only a few vehicles were being let into the venue every five minutes. I hadn't heard about the strike prior and there was no refund option, so we chose to arrange for people to drop us off and pick us up nearby rather than drive to the casino ourselves. This added layer of complication was not ideal, but it all worked out in the end. For my concert makeup look, I wanted to do something inspired by the colours used in the Hot Show album artwork. Blue, blue, and more blue. I used an eyeshadow palette from my makeup collection and applied a silvery blue to the inner portion of the eyelid, a medium blue to the remainder, and then a brighter blue eyeshadow colour through the crease. There was a navy blue colour used along the lower lash line for a little extra drama. The rest of the makeup look was neutral, but it was fun to use bolder colours on the eyes.
After the Prozzak set was over, there was an announcement that the band would be signing autographs at the merchandise stand. Since we were not planning to stay for the other act, we decided to wait. In the end, we purchased a Prozzak t-shirt and hat. The band members were kind enough to sign the hat and wish my husband a happy birthday. Even though it was a little complicated to access the venue, the concert was wonderful and my husband and I made special memories together.
