current obsession: warm and cozy items

The world is disappointing sometimes. There are so many people willing to harm others. There are so many people willing to support predators. These people make life feel unsteady, uncomfortable, and unsafe. On one hand, it makes me especially grateful for those who add light and kindness to the world. On the other hand, it is draining knowing that good people seem to be the exception rather than the rule. Perhaps that is the reason I have been seeking out comfort lately. Coziness, safety, warmth. I have been seeking it out in the content I consume, in the music I listen to, and in the items I have around my home. Here are some warm and cozy items that have been making life feel more beautiful lately, despite this imperfect world. 

Warm and Cozy Candle. It is amazing how the right scent can make life feel a little less stressful. That is exactly what the Vanilla Marshmallow Cocoa candle from DW Home does. This is part of the Cafe Creations line and was a random find at Winners this season. It obviously smells like vanilla, marshmallow, and coca. Essentially, it is sweet, warm, and comforting. This candle pairs perfectly with a background video (I love a fireplace video or one with autumn leaves rustling in the wind) and a good book. 

Nourishing Hand Cream. Another item that has been adding lots of coziness to my days is the aptly named Find Comfort Hydrating Hand Cream from Rare Beauty. It has a light scent and absorbs into the skin quickly. I love that it nourishes the skin but does not leave my hands feeling greasy. Unfortunately, this Rare Beauty hand cream is expensive and has a price tag of $25 CDN. While the Find Comfort Hydrating Hand Cream is not something that I tend to splurge on for myself, it is always wonderful to receive as a gift from a loved one. This season, this hydrating hand cream has been especially appreciated. 

90s Inspired Hand Towels. After many years, it was time to replace some worn out hand towels. I didn't know exactly what the replacements would look like, but figured I would know them when I saw them. Once I stumbled upon this four pack of striped hand towels, the decision was made in an instant. Not only are these towels super soft, but the colours are everything. I have been seeking out warmth and comfort absolutely everywhere. Hand towels included! So far, these have worked out well.
