spooky season show and tell: casper the friendly ghost

Are you making the most of spooky season? Halloween is right around the corner, so now is the time to dive headfirst into all of the festivities. I have certainly been doing my best to create some seasonal memories. There have been jack-o-lantern cookies, pumpkin spice treats, movies, decorations, and so much more. This year, my Casper the Friendly Ghost obsession has been in full swing. I have watched the live action movie from 1995 at least a dozen times in the last few months and have been enjoying all of the Casper items in my collection. Take a closer look at my collection in this spooky season show and tell.

Casper Comic Book and Hand Towels. There is a little bit of Casper the Friendly Ghost throughout my home. On the living room table is the thrifted Casper the Friendly Ghost comic book from 1986 that I found a few years back. Now it has become a bit of a tradition to read the comic book once October rolls around. I also have a set of Casper hand towels that I like to put out once spooky season arrives. These are adorable and have embroidered elements on the pumpkin, Boo lettering, and trick or treat bag. The Casper character is made from a different material. I just love the warm colours and cute seasonal design.

Casper DVDs and VHS Tapes. As mentioned, the live action version of Casper has been in heavy rotation this season. (Even more than usual, which is really saying something.) In addition to the 1995 live action version, there are some rediscovered Casper movies in my collection. I watched Casper Meets Wendy (featuring a young Hilary Duff) online, was gifted an old copy of Casper: A Spirited Beginning by family members who were getting rid of their VHS collection, and rediscovered two old VHS tapes from my youth while sorting through some stuff at my family home. It was a real treat to watch the old VHS tapes that I grew up watching, but they are sadly not in great condition at this point. I definitely wore them out over the years!
