If left alone in a Spirit Halloween store for too long, my bill could easily be hundreds and hundreds of dollars. There is so much to see and enjoy! I love Halloween decorations, themed clothes, and many beloved seasonal franchises. This is why my husband is normally present when I make my annual visit. He is able to remind me that our home only has so much room available. Even though there were a million other items that I would have loved to take home (like Halloween themed blankets, Hocus Pocus home decor items, and everything Trick 'r Treat), three items were deemed essential seasonal additions.
Elvira Canvas Print. I love Elvira a lot. In fact, this summer, there was an Elvira plush that I purchased...just because. Spirit Halloween had a handful of
Elvira themed items, including a blanket, cups, and pictures. Did I want everything? Yes. Ultimately, it was this canvas print that I took home. I love that it looks like a painting that would be hanging in a haunted castle. It has certainly elevated my Halloween decor this season. To be honest, it will be sad to pack it away at the end of the month.
Wednesday Addams Doll Plush Crossbody Bag. Confession: I already knew ahead of time that this item would be purchased from Spirit Halloween. I took a look at the Spirit Halloween website before the physical stores started to open for the season, just to see what might be there. It was love at first sight! This Wednesday Addams Doll Plush Crossbody Bag is so cute and so fun. I love all things Addams Family and have a real weakness for plush items, so it was really the best of both worlds. Since I am planning to dress as Wednesday Addams for Halloween this year, the purse was the perfect addition to my life.
Halloween Movie T-Shirt. There is something about this art style that I really enjoy. In fact, there are a few t-shirts in my wardrobe with a similar look. This was another love at first sight kind of experience at Spirit Halloween. Though there were a lot of really cute seasonal t-shirts available, this was one that I knew right away would be worn over and over again. (It already has been. I have been rotating through my modest collection of Halloween t-shirts lately and this is always my first choice.) I love the colours, the art style, the nod to one of my favourite horror movies, and how comfortable the shirt is to wear.
This is probably my smallest Spirit Halloween haul in several years, but I am trying to be more thoughtful about my purchases...even when I would rather not be. These days, the items that I purchase have to be loves, not likes. All three of these spooky season items fell into that category and have been making this Halloween season one to remember.
