pros and cons: aqua bomb jelly cleanser (belif)

When it comes to makeup, skin care, and beauty products, my loved ones spoil me from time to time. They might pass along something that was included in a subscription box or spoil me with a product that they saw while out and about. That is what happened recently when a loved one gifted me the Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser from Belif. I have tried the popular moisturizer from this brand, but not the cleanser, so it was a nice treat to put it to the test. Keep reading for all of the pros and cons.

Pros: It is always best to start with the good. When it comes to the Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser, there is a lot that is good. This cleanser is supposed to "gently and effectively remove makeup and impurities while hydrating dull, dry skin." It certainly does that. The cleanser is really gentle and doesn't irritate my skin at all. It also leaves my skin feeling smooth and refreshed. Best of all? This doesn't make my skin feel dry or tight after use. There are a lot of cleansers out there that are quite drying, so it is nice to find one that considers hydration. This cleanser is also really easy to use with clear instructions printed on the bottle. Plus, the design on the bottle is adorable. I love the bright colours and the little dolphin. There is a lot to love about the cleanser.

Cons: There are some negatives to consider with this cleanser as well. The biggest drawback in my opinion is the scent. This smells just like lemon floor cleaner. It is a strong scent that is quite unpleasant to me. (Obviously, everyone has different preferences, so it is possible the scent would not be an issue for you.) The other con is the price, since it is $40 CDN for 160 ml of product. There is quite a lot of product included and it will last for a long time, but this is not an inexpensive cleanser.

Is the Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser from Belif something that I would purchase in the future? Probably not, because scent is quite off-putting to me. The cleanser works well and there is no doubt that I will finish off this bottle...but the scent is not something that I am likely to seek out on my own in the future. It is a shame, because this is gentle on the skin and effective.

Have you tried the Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser from Belif before? What did you think of it?
