2 looks 1 palette: coca cola x morphe eyeshadow palette

I went (mostly) makeup free for about a week thanks to the heat. The temperatures were intense and the air conditioner in my apartment just could not manage to keep up. That meant there were some very hot days....and very little makeup. Thankfully, the intense heat has broken and I have been able to enjoy the process of applying makeup once again. The Coca Cola x Morphe Eyeshadow Palette has been helping me to celebrate this shift in the weather. If you recall from my mini review post, this particular eyeshadow palette is loaded with lots of beautiful earthy colours inspired by the 1970s. So, I spent time putting those warm and wearable shades to use for the latest 2 looks 1 palette post.

Look #1: Warm and Easy to Wear Glamour

The first makeup look included in this 2 looks 1 palette post is something a little glam but still super easy to wear. To start, I applied the shade That's The Spirit (a matte beige) all over the lid as a base. Then it was Loved Up (a soft pink shimmer) patted on top to add a little extra glitz and glam. To deepen the crease and add some intensity, the shade Warm Fuzzies (warm medium brown) was added to the crease with a small fluffy brush for a softer application. Along the lower lash line, it was Commercial Break (slightly deeper matte down) and some more Loved Up in the inner corner for a fabulous pop of shimmer and shine. A little liner and mascara finished off the eye look. On the cheeks was a bit of Too Faced bronzer worn as a blush and then one of the glosses from the Coca Cola x Morphe collection. Though this look is somewhat glamorous, it didn't take long to do. About 15 minutes in total! It was a makeup look that I had to pull together fairly quickly to do a quick porch drop-off for one of my friends who recently had a baby...and overall, I was really happy with the way the makeup look turned out.

Look #2: Shimmering Greens and Golds

As for the second makeup look using the Coca Cola x Morphe Awe Together Artistry Eyeshadow Palette, some of those shimmers were put to use. Though it didn't photograph as vibrantly as it appeared in person...the golds and greens were a lot of fun to use. To start, it was Hilltop Hope (soft shimmery green) all over the lid. Then I used some Heart of Gold (shimmery gold) through the crease. That was blended out with a bit of Oh Honey (warm yellow-brown) for a little extra colour. Oh honey was used along the lower lash line along with some more Heart of Gold. Mascara and liner finished the eye look. Then on the cheeks, it was a dusty rose blush shade from Revolution and the other nude Coca Cola x Morphe lip gloss.

My favourite thing about September so far? The fact that the temperatures are dropping. It means I can enjoy being in my home more...and can put all of my beloved makeup products to good use. There is nothing quite as satisfying as pulling together a makeup look that just feels right. These looks using the Coca Cola x Morphe Eyeshadow Palette were really satisfying to do and made me feel a little more like myself. Thank goodness for that!

Have you tried anything from this collection? Which makeup look do you like best?

  4. Great review of the palette, Shannon! I want it now! :D That Lovey Dovey looks awesome for sure. And thanks for the honest review of the mascara as well. It does sound nice but yeah...the clumping. That's too bad. Anyhoo, you look great as always in both looks. Both the warm, and green and gold really suit you!
