Be honest. Have you started spring cleaning yet? This time of year is synonymous with elbow grease, de-cluttering, and starting fresh…but many of us put off the tradition for as long as humanly possible. (Despite all of the hours, days, and weeks many of us spent in quarantine.) Stop procrastinating! Getting and staying organized is easier than you think. With a bit of planning and creativity, your space will make even the biggest neat freak jealous. Just keep these handy tips and tricks in mind.
Tip #1: Keep Up With Your Cleaning List
Are you one of those people that does a bit
clean once a year and only once a year? It might be time to change your
ways. Doing small things once a week or even once a month can save you from
spending an entire weekend scrubbing and cursing under your breath. A few
suggestions? Do things like tidying up dishes, making your bed, and taking out
the garbage once a day. Then vacuum, do laundry, and wipe down counter tops once
a week. Dust and wash linens once a month. Then by the time you get to spring,
you will only need to focus on semi-annual things, like flipping your mattress,
cleaning out your closet, and re-organizing your kitchen cupboards. Doing
little things here and there will keep your home organized day to day – and
make spring cleaning a snap.
Now to take it one step further. Once your
home is clean and ready to go, it is time to start focusing on the details.
Like tackling those long overdue organizational projects. Maybe you keep
meaning to sort through your record collection or find better storage solutions
for all of your sweaters. It doesn’t matter what the project is. The whole
point is to get started. One bit of advice? Do it one thing at a time. If you
start multiple organizational projects at once you are less likely to finish
them. Instead you will be left with a messy and chaotic household. Start by
organizing one room at a time or by tackling one project at a time. It will
save you a major headache in the long run.
Tip #3: Give Everything a Place – And Put It There
Another way to stay organized this spring?
Make sure everything in your home, office, and life has a place. Not following?
Think about all of the random bits and pieces you have lying around. They might
take up room on your kitchen table, at the front entryway, or on top of your
nightstand. Each and every object you have needs to have a home of its own. If
it doesn’t…. give it one or get rid of it. The second part of this
organizational tip is to follow through. It is all well and good to give items
a place. But you actually have to put them there! A few extra seconds of your
time will save you an awful lot of hassle later on.
Still looking to up your organizational
skills this season? Then don’t forget about technology. These days, there are
planners in our cell phones and organizational apps available for our tablets and smart phones. Not to mention reminders,
alarms, and so much more. That means one thing: no excuses! You can stay
organized by writing down appointments, coming up with a cleaning schedule,
creating a to-do list, and so on. The possibilities are endless. Spend a little
time getting your life organized – and get ready to see some amazing results.

DeleteMost appropriate article in this time. We are locked down from 22nd March and spending most of our time for planning, how and which market shall we go to purchase our next week's rice and vegetable. Availability is not sufficient. So very little time for organised.
