tips to perfect your next lazy day

I am dreaming of a lazy day. Though I recently came back from a vacation, I am downright exhausted. I haven't had a chance to stop and slow down for a single moment. During the trip, we were on the go, day in and day out. Since coming home, my days have been filled with work and a ton of catching up on things. Quite frankly, a lazy day hasn't been in the cards. Thankfully, this weekend I have absolutely nothing planned. So, I am looking forward to creating the ultimate at-home day during that time. Feel like doing the same? Want to sit around in your pajamas all day long? Join me!

Every now and again it feels good to ignore your to-do list, put away your planner, and just relax. Go for it. Don’t reorganize your kitchen cupboards today. Forget about that stack of papers. Give yourself a well earned day off. Doing so has actually been found to have health benefits, like reduced stress levels and increased feelings of happiness. Want your lazy day to be perfect? Here are a few ways to make it happen.

Skip Your Morning Routine. There are certain things you do each and every morning. A few examples? Get dressed, wash your face, brush your hair, eat a balanced breakfast, and so on. Those little things make up your morning routine. On your lazy day, forget about all of them. This is your chance to let loose. Don’t get dressed (lazy days are a great excuse to lounge around your home in PJs or sweats), leave your hair as is, and indulge in a tasty breakfast (bacon, eggs, and toast are great options). By skipping over your morning routine you will get into that lazy day frame of mind.

Create a Comfortable Space. Nothing will help you relax quite like a cozy atmosphere. Start your day by creating a super comfortable space. It could be your bedroom or your living room. (Or any other room in your home!) Choose where you will spend the bulk of the day. Then bring in fuzzy blankets, lots of pillows, scented candles, and anything else you might need. How much or how little you grab is up to you. Just make sure your space is calming, relaxing, and comfortable to be in.

Grab Yourself Some Snacks. Chances are, you want to get up as little as possible today. That’s okay! Take the time now to prepare yourself. Pour a large glass of water and pile up snacks to munch on during the day. It could be some healthy trail mix and carrot sticks…. or unhealthy potato chips and chocolate bars. Totally your call. The most important thing is to have enough on hand that you can limit any trips to the kitchen. Staying put as much as possible will make your lazy day feel even lazier.

Start a Marathon And Catch Up On Social Media. Your lazy day is so close to being perfect. How can you make it the best ever? Start a marathon. Choose one TV show and binge watch as many episodes as you can. Or have a movie marathon dedicated to your favourite actor or actress. You’d be surprised how fun it can be. Whether you are alone or being lazy with a friend or partner, a marathon is a must. Another activity to fill up your oh-so-lazy day? Take the time to catch up on your social media. Check Facebook, scroll through your Instagram feed, and watch those Snapchats.

There are lazy days and then there are perfect lazy days. You are long overdue for a fun and fabulous experience. So get cozy, prepare your space, and treat yourself to a little downtime. You deserve it.

Something else you can do on your lazy day is watch lots and lots of YouTube videos. And just in case you are searching for something beauty related to watch...I've posted a brand new video on my channel. Take a look and let me know what you think!

Will you treat yourself to a lazy day this weekend?

My fave is Epcot because of the Mitsukoshi store...hehe:D I really love DisneyWorld and Universal...I wish we can go everyday. Can't wait to see your vids!
