new streaming musts for halloween night.

One more day until Halloween is officially here. If you are anything like me, there have been seasonal favourites playing in the background for weeks. I'm talking Halloweentown, Scream, Double Double Toil and Trouble, Friday 13th, and Casper. There are so many movies to watch and stream these days. (Check out a few suggestions here.) There is just something about these seasonal movies. Some are family friendly, some are thrilling, and others are downright terrifying...but they all add to the spirit of the season. Looking for something new to watch? Something to liven up your Halloween celebration? Well, you are in luck, because there are all sorts of brand new releases. Here are a few new streaming musts for Halloween night.

Hocus Pocus 2. Okay, let's start with the obvious. Hocus Pocus 2 is without a doubt the most buzzed about new Halloween release. This not only broke Disney+ streaming records for a new release but has also received a lot of positive reviews. Not everyone is thrilled with the film, but it seems that Hocus Pocus 2 has an awful lot of fans. The original Sanderson Sisters return to wreak havoc on Salem. Plus, there is even a little backstory thrown into the mix. This is a pretty family friendly option, but it will also thrill viewers who loved the original Hocus Pocus. Want to make your Halloween extra special? Watch Hocus Pocus on Disney+ first and then follow it up with the sequel. Bonus points if you dress up like one of the characters.

Halloween Ends. Are you a fan of the Halloween series? There have been a lot of Halloween movies and remakes over the years, but this is supposed to be the final film. This is the third installment of the more recent movies, following Halloween and Halloween Kills. It stars the iconic Jamie Lee Curtis and streams on Peacock. Now, if you don't have Peacock, this movie is also playing in the theatres at the same time. So, whether you want to head out or stay in, it is possible to bid farewell to this incredible horror series. It truly is one of the best and it will be strange for it to end.

Chucky Season 2. If you are looking for a TV show instead of a movie, there is always Chucky. Season 1 premiered last year and season 2 has been airing for the last little while. If you are in Canada, this show can be streamed on Stacked TV. Just like the Chucky movies, this show is scary, funny, and suspenseful. It definitely keeps my heart racing. The characters that were introduced in the first season are compelling and complex. And of course, Chucky is the same old Chucky.

The Curse of Bridge Hollow. I love that streaming services have been creating more and more Halloween themed content lately. One example of this is The Curse of Bridge Hollow, which is available to stream on Netflix. This movie is about a young girl who unleashes something evil and accidentally brings all of the Halloween decorations in her suburb to life. This movie has an awful lot to offer. Family dynamics, a suburban neighborhood gone wrong, and lots of spooky Halloween decor.

Whether you are looking for something scary, spooky, or somewhere in between, there are plenty of streaming options available. Though the old favourites are essentials...it is nice to add a few new offerings into the mix as well. This Halloween, be sure to check out some of these new streaming musts. They are sure to add to your seasonal celebration.

Have you watched any of these streaming musts? How will you celebrate Halloween this year?
