12 days of Christmas (Winterlicious Questions) - Day 10

Happy Christmas Eve-Eve! That's right, we are so close to Christmas now. It's still hard to wrap my head around how quickly time is flying by. Fingers crossed you are feeling ready for all the festivities in the days ahead. There are just a few days left in the Winterlicious Questions countdown to Christmas I've been doing lately. So stay tuned to see the rest of the posts in this advent inspired series. Next up is a spotlight on my favourite Christmas decoration for the year. This one is definitely super sentimental, so keep reading to find out what it is.

Favourite Christmas Decoration This Year

Every year, there are two trees that I put up. The first is our main Christmas tree, where all of the presents go and all of the Hallmark decorations. Then in my office, I have this mini Barbie Christmas tree. It used to sit in my bedroom at my parents house all year round. Then when I got married and moved out, it traveled with me. It goes up every November (yes, I like to decorate early) and has some of my music-related ornaments. (Pictured on the pale pink tree are Hannah Montana ornaments, Camp Rock, High School Musical, and Clay Aiken, to name a few.) It is my favourite decoration this year because the base to the tree actually broke. My husband and I tried to glue it, tape it, and fix it somehow but it is most definitely destroyed beyond repair. So I have it somewhat propped up and it seems like this will be my last year using this beloved Barbie Christmas tree. I'm glad to have this post to commemorate it. This decoration will always have a special place in my heart.

What is your favourite decoration this year?

  2. I have 1 decoration that I will get buried with lol. It is from 1952 and was my dad's the year he was born. It is a plastic santa on a sleigh, faded now! My dad passed 2002 and this became more special.

I also have a santa my great gran knitted the year I was born, so that too I guess.
