warm fall makeup look (feat. bh cosmetics it's my raye raye palette)

It's rare that an ultra affordable makeup palette takes your breath away. Takes over your day-to-day looks. Replaces comparable high-end and luxury products. However, that is exactly what happened when I picked up the bh Cosmetics "It's My Raye Raye" palette. It included contouring products, blinding highlights (some of the best I have ever tried), and a selection of warm eyeshadow shades. The obsession was immediate. Which explains why I have been reaching for this palette pretty consistently in recent months. Even if I'm not using the eyeshadow shades...those highlighting products are absolute must-wears. Today, I wanted to share a few of my thoughts on this palette and highlight a recent warm fall makeup look created using the products included in the set.

bh Cosmetics - It's My Raye Raye Palette (Mini Review)

Needless to say, this palette is stellar. And to think, I stumbled across it for about 7 or 8 dollars at Winners. Go figure! There are fifteen eyeshadow shades (most of which perform really well and have a wonderful level of pigmentation and staying power), three highlighting products, and three contouring products. When it comes to the shadows, the shimmery shades definitely perform best. They create bold looks with ease! There are also a lot of warm matte shades to play with as well and lots of neutrals. Whether you want something on the metallic or sunset side - or prefer medium browns and subtle smokey eye looks - there are plenty of eyeshadow shades to work with here.

Then on the bottom half of the palette you have those face products. There are three different contouring shades, which makes this palette really versatile. Plus, the bronze shades that are too light or too dark for you can be used as eyeshadow shades instead. (I like to use the deepest contour colour as a quick and easy one-shadow makeup look.) Then there are the highlights. Wow, wow, wow. These are so pigmented and create such a beautiful glow. There is shimmer, shine, and everything you could possibly want from a highlighting product. The fact that there are three different shades to choose from means there is a highlight for a variety of skin tones and desired looks. All in all, this is a solid makeup set. Keep your eyes peeled for it!

Warm Fall Makeup Look (feat. bh Cosmetics It's My Raye Raye)

It is easy to get inspired by this particular palette. To create this warm fall makeup look, I started with Control Freak (a warm mid-tone brown) through the crease. Then I applied Tiffany (a warm red-copper colour) on the lid, adding Passion (a shimmery warm purple) to the outer corner, Fairytale (a warm gold to the inner corner), blending it all out with Angel (a shimmery white shade). Along the lower lash line was a mixture of Passion and Connie (a dark matte purple) on the outer third and then Fairytale on the rest. Then it was a bit of eyeliner and mascara to finish off the eye look. The cheeks had a bit of Mocha (the medium contour shade) with Rayediant (the golden highlight) layered over top. On the lips was a sparkly pink-gold lip gloss from Too Faced. Ta da! In about fifteen minutes, I was ready for a last-minute dinner date with friends.

Have you tried this palette? What is your go-to fall makeup look?
