love it or leave it? paris hilton

It just wouldn't be a love it or leave it? without a little Paris Hilton. Though there have been many celebrities featured in this series, one of my favourite style icons has to be Paris. Her outfits are (almost always) on point. Plus, her looks tend to have lots of personality and are thoughtful about accessories. Recently, the iconic star stepped out in an all black ensemble. Was it good? Bad? In between? It is time to find out in the latest installment of love it or leave it?

What I Love: As you can see from the picture above, Paris definitely knows how to make a statement with fashion. Whether she is in baby pink or all black...she turns heads and stands out from the crowd. No wonder there is so much to love! The overall impact of the outfit cannot be denied. She looks edgy, cool, and well put together. The layering creates a casual appearance but the leather jacket and pants kick things up a notch, making sure this look is anything but ordinary. The sunglasses look fantastic, the hairstyle is perfection, and that chunky black purse works well with the look. She's even got on leather motorcycle gloves! Her commitment to the theme is pretty darn impressive - and Paris looks fantastic.

What I Loathe: The boots. Oh, the boots. This outfit is almost perfect from head to toe. Almost. It amazes me that so much attention was given to everything from the fit to the small details (like those motorcycle gloves) but then the boots are a different shade of black to everything else. They almost have a gun metal appearance. This breaks up the all-black look in a way that isn't pleasing. To be so close to perfection and have it spoiled with a pair of grey-black boots? Alas!

So, is it a love it or leave it? Overall, I think this look is fabulous and I would give it a love. It is edgy, strong, and makes a statement. However, I really wish those boots had been a true black rather than that grey-black colour. It would have looked more cohesive from top to bottom.
