30 day beauty challenge: day 20

Happy holidays! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I look forward to reading all about them. My Christmas was wonderful. To summarize it: I ate far too much, was given more than I could ever deserve, and spent the day with my amazing family.

On Christmas Eve, my mom and I baked cookies and cupcakes, and then the whole family went for a drive around the neighborhood to look at Christmas lights. I woke up ridiculously early on Christmas day....insomnia. Not much fun, but I made the most of it by filling my parents stockings and watching Christmas movies before the rest of my family woke up. The rest of Christmas day was spent unwrapping gifts, watching movies, playing Mario Kart, and eating Christmas dinner. All in all, a very lovely day. I love this time of year so much. It really makes you appreciate the important things in life.

Tomorrow I will post some of my holiday photos. Until then, I am back to the 30 day beauty challenge! Today's challenge is: Favourite Mascara.

My favourite mascara is DiorShow by Christian Dior:

I love everything about this mascara....except for the price! It is $31 CDN for the waterproof version. Steep, but worth every penny. It is quite black, the formula is nice and thick, and it makes my lashes look amazing. I have not used another mascara that I love nearly as much. However, a great drugstore mascara is Maybelline Lots of Lashes. Definitely a good alternative if you don't want to spend the money on DiorShow.

    I could not live without Dior mascara. I love DiorShow and Extase, and I always use the primer and Black-Out with it. Obviously, I do a lot with my lashes.

    OMG MARIO KART!!! I wish I'd spent Christmas at your place if Mario was included :-) I've never tried Dior mascara actually. I want to now that you've talked it up! Hope you had a great Christmas xx

    I like maybelline's mascara. They're resistent and curl my lashes well and make them stay in place. Christmas happened so quickly! Had a great family time.

    Aw, sounds like you had a blast! I woke up super early too. My brother got a LOTR game and we beat the whole thing in six hours. It was awesome!

    I always use Chanel Inimitable, but this one looks good as well. I'm actually looking for a new (less expensive) one, but every time I try one I get really disappointed. I guess Chanel's just a lot better than other make up brands.
