makeup tutorial: classic kristen stewart purple and black smokey eye

People either love or hate Twilight. Personally, I love it. I love how dramatic and over the top everything is. I love being on Team Jacob. Yet, I love the idea of a love so intense between Bella and Edward. Basically, the only thing I care about at the moment, is Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 1.

In a few hours, I will be seeing the movie! To ease my anxious excitement, I have decided to do a Kristen Stewart makeup tutorial. The look I am recreating, is from the premiere of Eclipse. This is actually my favourite makeup look from Kristen! I love the combination of that vibrant purple and black. The look is smokey, sexy, and beautiful.

FACE:

Kristen's skin tends to look very natural. Choose either a tinted moisturizer or a light-medium coverage foundation. Her skin is quite fair, but warm up the face with just a hint of bronzer and apply concealer where needed. Kristen doesn't wear much on the cheek, so use a small amount of a warm toned blush slightly lower on the cheeks. Her brows are lighter in this look, but still nice and full! Be sure to fill in your brows with a brow pencil or matte eyeshadow. Her skin is also nice and glowy, so be sure to use a highlight on the cheeks, chin, the tip of the nose, and even the center of the forehead if you like!

EYES:

This look is all about the eyes! Start by applying an eye primer over the lid. Sweep a bright purple shadow all over the lid. With a much deeper purple shade, apply the shadow to the outer corner of the eye and work it about halfway across the lid. Using a matte black shadow, apply close to the lash line at the outer corner. Work the black colour into the crease. Using a warm brown colour, blend along the top of the crease. Run the bright purple colour along the lower lash line, and the deeper purple colour right at the outer corner of the lower lash line. Now for the eyeliner! Apply to the upper and lower lash lines, keeping the line thin. Apply two coats of mascara to the top lashes and one coat on the bottom.

LIPS:

Kristen keeps it nice and natural on the lips! Use a peach lipstick, or even a light pink. Apply a coat of lip gloss over top. Simple!

And here is my recreated look:

Are you going to see Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 this weekend? What do you think of this makeup look?
