the only source of knowledge is experience.
It amazes me how much an experience can change you. For the last three months, I have been interning with Young Hollywood. The website focuses on celebrities and entertainment news. (The last article I wrote for them was on Natalie Wood, which you can read here.) In my time with Young Hollywood, forty-five of my articles have been published on the site.
Though it has been trying, juggling the internship with work, blogging and the very occasional social life, every moment has been worth it. This experience has brought confidence to my writing. For the first time, I actually believe in myself.
The most important thing I take away from this, however, is determination. I want to write professionally. I want it beyond my vague childhood aspirations. It is only recently I've realized how hard I am willing to work to achieve my goals. I will make writing my career.
It is with this determination, I move forward. I have never been good with goodbyes - part of me is upset about this inevitable end. Though, as I write this, I am filled with beautiful anticipation...the next chapter of my life is about to begin.
