Emily is a successful YouTuber with one million subscribers, twelve years of sharing beauty tutorials and reviews, and most recently, a collaboration with Revolution.

Inspiration is always beautiful. Sometimes it comes out of nowhere and other times, it is a constant source of motivation and enchantment. Lately, my inspiration has been coming from lavender. The colour is so soothing and beautiful to look at - and the scent fills me with joy. This particular inspiration is strange because I have never been all that interested in lavender. Sure, I love the colour, but the actual scent? Not so much. This is likely because my mom is allergic to the smell of lavender. For whatever reason, it always seems to cause her to react. So I never had anything with lavender in it. Until now. I found a lavender scented pillow spray and fell in love with the fragrance. Since then, it has been all lavender all the time. Which is why today's post is a good old-fashioned inspiration post.

gigi hadid + maybelline eyeshadow palette (review)

The first time I heard about the Gigi Hadid and Maybelline collaboration, I was intrigued. I scoured drugstore after drugstore looking desperately for a piece from the line. Nothing. Anywhere. My search was fruitless every single time, which was frustrating to say the least! Especially with beauty gurus from all over the world were discussing the collaboration. Was it good? Bad? It seemed like I would never find out for myself. I had completely given up hope when one day, on a random shopping trip, there it was. Small, simple, and with GH stamped elegantly on the front of the eyeshadow set.

Since this little (emphasis on little) palette had eluded me for such a long time, it was especially thrilling to stumble upon it. And at a discounted price, no less! It seemed that the drugstore beauty gods were smiling on me that day. I just couldn't wait to take it home and see it this product was worth the wait. So...was it?
