shop my stash: coral makeup look

There is something about coral that has been speaking to me lately. While there are all sorts of coral shades, typically, it is something between red, pink, and orange. Some coral makeup products are a little more pink, some a little more orange, and some a little more on the red side. I recently decided to shop my stash to create a coral inspired makeup look. It turns out that coral is supposed to represent joy and optimism. I think this colour has been speaking to me lately because my life has needed an extra dose of joy and optimism! Here is hoping this makeup look will bring all sorts of positivity into my world. 

In addition to many of my favourite makeup essentials (like the Epic Ink Eyeliner from NYX and the Pro Glow Foundation from L'Oreal) there were a few other items added to the mix. This includes an old eyeshadow palette with lots of warm colours, the Soft Matte Lip Cream from NYX in the shade San Juan (which I found semi-recently at Winners), and the Luminous Blush-Lighter from Essence. I love that the eyeshadow palette has some warm matte shades as well as some bold shimmers. 

To create the shop my stash makeup look shown above, all of the previously mentioned coral coloured products were used. The warm cream colour was applied all over the eyelid to start and then the warm coral shade seen on the upper row of the eyeshadow palette was applied. It was all blended out with a bit of the light brown eyeshadow shade. The Blush-Lighter from Essence was applied to the cheeks to bring in that coral colour and then the San Juan lip cream was applied to the lips. In the end, the makeup look was colourful, warm, and coral inspired. It is fun to do these shop my stash videos and get creative.
