Generally speaking, surprises are not something that I enjoy. Examples: surprise parties and unplanned events. Thankfully, there are examples of good surprises out there, like this Surprise Bag from Ardene. My friend and I recently went to see the musical, Moulin Rouge, together and stayed overnight at a hotel. She thoughtfully brought a Surprise Bag for each of us to open once we checked in. These bags are always full of random accessories from Ardene - and always feel delightfully nostalgic. It certainly started the experience off on a fun note. Ready to see what was inside this Surprise Bag? 

Now for the reveal. There were five different items included in the Surprise Bag. The items that my friend and I received were totally different, but followed a similar theme (socks, sunglasses, earrings, and so on). It was exciting to pull out one item after another and see what treasures awaited. Now for a closer look at the accessories that were inside - and some mini reviews. 

The first item in the Surprise Bag was an earring set with nine different pairs of earrings. Many of my accessories are silver, but I have been enjoying gold jewellery more in recent years. This is a wonderful way to incorporate more gold into my everyday looks. I love the variety of earring styles and know that I will get lots of use out of those small gold hoops. The second item was a beaded silver necklace. The beads form beautiful blue flowers. I actually ended up wearing this necklace to the performance of Moulin Rouge because I loved it so much! It is dainty, colourful, and absolutely perfect for the spring season.

Now for some throwback items. These all reminded me of the 90s and 00s in the best possible way. For starters, there was a white bandana that instantly made me think of Jennifer Lopez. This is not something that I have a ton of use for, but I will do my best to make sure it has a purpose somewhere. There was also an amazing pair of sunglasses that reminded me of Lady Gaga or Kesha. When it comes to my style, sometimes I joke that it peaked in the 2010s, so those sunglasses are absolutely right up my alley and will be worn often. The last item in this Surprise Bag from Ardene is an adorable pair of socks. These grey socks have a cute puppy dog design on them and are super soft. I absolutely love socks with fun prints and designs.

All in all, the items in the Surprise Bag from Ardene were wonderful. I love the dainty jewellery, the new sunglasses, and the cute socks. The bandana is the only item that is not exactly my style, but I am sure that it will be used in some way.
