Confession: I have been waiting to post about this eyeshadow palette for quite some time. For whatever reason, the 1971 movie, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, has always been an Easter staple for me. Maybe it has to do with all of the candy and chocolate...but it is something that I watch on and around Easter every single year. There are other Easter movies that I like to watch (like Easter Egg Mornin' and Peter Cottontail) but it just would not be Easter without a little Willy Wonka. The Golden Ticket Eyeshadow Palette from Revolution was found many months back at Marshalls for about $10 CDN. Given the theme, the affordable price, and the positive experiences I have had with Revolution products in the past, it was a must.

This eyeshadow palette makes me smile. A lot. For starters, the outer packaging looks like a Wonka Bar from the movie. It has the logo on the front and when you open the box to reveal the palette, there is a golden ticket inside! The inclusion of that golden ticket was such a delight. It made me feel like a little kid to see it tumble out of the box. (Pretty sure I audibly gasped. I was
so thrilled.) The golden ticket is currently on display with my other
Easter decorations. It is something that I will use as holiday decor for a very long time. While it may seem like a silly little extra...it made this feel like an immersive movie experience. The eyeshadow palette itself is also shaped like the golden ticket and has the Wonka logo printed on the front. There are scalloped edges and the entire eyeshadow palette is gold. The only disappointment in terms of the packaging is the lack of eyeshadow names. These are simply numbered rather than named. With so much thought put into the theme, it seems that Willy Wonka inspired names would have been an easy way to further elevate the overall quality of the release.
There are fifteen eyeshadows included in the
Golden Ticket Eyeshadow Palette from Revolution. All of the colours are warm and there is a nice combination of neutrals. For instance, there are lots of browns, peachy pinks, and all sorts of metallic colours. I love that there are different finishes so it is possible to have an all matte look, something shimmery, or a little bit of both. The colour story is warm, wearable, and bold. As for the actual quality of the eyeshadows? Fabulous. I love how smooth the shimmers are, how bright and pigmented both the shimmers and mattes are, and how nicely these eyeshadows blend. Though there are all sorts of eyeshadows in my collection, from cool and dark to bright rainbow colours...these warm neutrals will always have a special place in my heart. I just love all of the beautiful golds and browns. The fact that all of the shadows perform well and there is consistency throughout the palette is another win. All in all, the Golden Ticket Eyeshadow Palette knocked my socks off. I love the Wonka Bar outer packaging, the inclusion of the golden ticket inside, and the actual eyeshadows. This eyeshadow palette was affordable, thoughtfully created, and an absolute delight all around.
If you are celebrating Easter this weekend, my hope is that it is a wonderful holiday for you and your loved ones. And if you are not celebrating Easter this weekend, my hope is that you have a fabulous and relaxing weekend. I have a busy few days ahead of me. DeleteI totally get why Willy Wonka is an Easter staple for you—there’s just something so magical and whimsical about the candy-filled world that makes it perfect for the holiday! 🍫🌸 The movie is like a nostalgic trip to a world of pure imagination, and honestly, who doesn’t want a little chocolate fantasy around Easter time? 🍬 I love how certain movies become tradition—like, it’s just not the same without them. Can’t wait to see what eyeshadow palette you’re posting about too! Something about Willy Wonka vibes and a perfect makeup look just feels so fitting. 😍🎨
