review: ariana grande lovenotes perfume (pink woods)

Perfume has a way of making an ordinary day feel extra special. A little spritz here....a little spritz there...and suddenly life seems sunnier. I love scented items like candles, wall plug-ins, perfumes, room sprays, and everything in between. Since fragrances are an essential part of my day to day life, loved ones are often thoughtful enough to gift me bottles of perfume. That is what happened with the Ariana Grande LOVENOTES perfume. This collection from Ariana Grande is a bit unusual, because there are different versions available in different parts of the world. For instance, LOVENOTES has Vanilla Suede in the UK, Angels Kiss in Germany, Pink Woods in North America, and Pressed Petals in Australia. On one hand, this is a fun idea that makes each release unique to the area. On the other hand, my collection of Ariana Grande perfumes will be incomplete unless I choose to do a little online shopping. I am curious to know how the other scents compare to the one available in North America, but alas, this is not something that I can know for certain at this point. Pink Woods is described by the brand as "airy, dreamy, entrancing." It has top notes of Italian Bergamot and Lotus Flower, middle notes of Jasmine Petals, Tea Leaves, and Vetiver, and base notes of Tonka Beans, Cashmere Woods, and Cotton Candy. Many of the Ariana Grande scents are sweet and this perfume is no exception. It is floral, fresh, but still smells really sweet and inviting. This is a little more sophisticated than some of the other Ariana Grande releases and is the ideal choice for a night out or special occasion. Unlike some of the other perfumes from the line, this bottle is fairly sleek and straightforward. It certainly signals a more mature path forward. (Though I personally adore the plastic bottle holders that came with some of the past releases, like Cloud and Thank U Next, and the crystal inspired base for R.E.M.) This particular design looks elegant and classic.

The different scents in the LOVENOTES collection are meant to be "a love letter from Ariana to the world, conveying timeless and evocative messages of joy, gratitude, and affection." I like the idea of the different "notes" being available in different parts of the world and the overall message of joy, gratitude, and affection. Pink Woods smells lovely and has a beautiful bottle. Though my most used scents tend to rotate between a few releases (at the moment, R.E.M. Thank U Next, Cloud, Mod Vanilla, and Mod Blush are in high demand)...it is exciting to add another Ariana Grande perfume to my collection. I really love them!
