Everyone deserves the chance to fly....I remember the first time I saw the musical, Wicked. It was on a vacation to London, England with my parents. The cast was incredible and I was immediately wowed by the music, the story, and the sets. Following that experience, I read the book the musical was based on, I purchased the soundtrack, and in the years that followed, I saw additional performances closer to home. I love Wicked a little too much. Though it isn't my all time favourite musical, it is certainly in my top three. When One/Size announced a Wicked themed makeup collection, there was no question about whether or not something from the line would be added to my makeup collection. Though there were a few different products, ultimately, it was the Unlimited Eye and Face Palette that stood out. This is partly because of my obsession with face products like eyeshadow and blush and partly because of the two separate Elphaba and Glinda sections inside. Talk about cute!
This palette has such a great theme throughout. There is the Wicked poster on the front and inside. It also says, "Discover your range of creativity, whether you are feeling popular or misunderstood! Have fun showcasing your mood. The spotlight awaits you." Then on the other side are two sections. One is themed around Elphaba and the other Glinda. The Elphaba side has an assortment of seriously gorgeous greens and the Glinda side has blues, pinks, and shimmer. There are six eyeshadows to represent each character and one blush for each. The names are all perfectly themed as well, such as Emerald City, Flying Free, Ga-Linda, and Bubble. As for the quality of the eyeshadows? Impressive. I especially love the shimmer eyeshadows. Each one is richly pigmented and so so so sparkly. I adore them. The mattes work well and compliment the shimmers fabulously. I also really love the blush shades and appreciate that the Glinda shade is a little brighter than the Elphaba one. I have really been enjoying this palette. As a fan of shimmery shadows, this really stands out. I love the formula, the gorgeous colours, and the two different themes within one Wicked inspired palette. The
Unlimited Eye and Face Palette is an impressive release.
Since there are two different sides to this One/Size palette, it only made sense to create two different looks with the palette...
Elphaba Makeup Look. The first makeup look was created using the Elphaba side of the Unlimited Eye and Face Palette. The shade Wizard & I was used through the crease and blended out and Flying Free was applied all over the lid. Then a bit of Emerald City was added to the inner portion of the lid. As you can see, the shadows are ridiculously shimmery and have the most beautiful finish. I love that it is possible to create a bright and
colourful look or something darker and more dramatic.
Glinda Makeup Look. The second makeup look made the most of the Glinda side of the palette. Though there were a lot of really gorgeous colours, it was the matte blue eyeshadow that stood out more. I applied that all over the lid and then blended it all out with Proper Poise. To incorporate some shimmer, a bit of Ball Gown was added as well as some Bubble. The end result was colourful, shimmery, and a lot of fun. I especially love this blush shade paired with the brighter eyeshadow shades.
There is an awful lot to love about the Wicked Unlimited Eye and Face Palette from One/Size. The theme is spot on, the shimmer eyeshadows are spectacular, and I love the different blushes that are included. This is a real winner!
Are you a fan of Wicked? What do you think of this palette from One/Size?
