too faced christmas bake shoppe (ginger snap and chocolate chip)

Ready for part two of the Too Faced Christmas Bake Shoppe Limited Edition Makeup Collection review? In part one, the focus was on the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mini Mascara and the Sugar Cookie Palette. This time, it is all about the Ginger Snap Palette and the Chocolate Chip Palette. Just like the other items included in this collection, the theme is holiday cookies. After all, it just wouldn't be a holiday set from Too Faced without something sweet and adorable to look at. Both palettes are nicely themed and check off all the boxes in terms of theme. It is time to take a closer look at these seasonal releases.

Chocolate Chip Palette. The next cookie included in this Too Faced Christmas Bake Shoppe Limited Edition Makeup Collection is chocolate chip. (It just wouldn't be a cookie themed palette without a classic chocolate chip cookie, after all.) Like the Sugar Cookie Palette, this has an adorable theme with cookies printed all over the front and inside of the palette. This is supposed to smell like chocolate chip cookies, but has more of a soft sweet scent instead. Pleasant but not necessarily as advertised. As for the shadows inside, this particular palette is largely matte. There is one shimmer (Sweet on Santa) and a golden-bronze highlight (Resting Wish Face). Everything else is matte. This is actually a nice There are certainly some standout shadows here, including Truth or Deer and All The Jingle Ladies. There are lots of wearable neutrals to choose from here.

This a no-brainer kind of palette. The mattes are all nicely pigmented but Sweet on Santa falls a little flat. It can be used as a topper for the matte shades, but worn alone, it fails to stand out. As for the highlight, this is a gorgeous cheek product and compliments the others in the collection. I love that it can be added to any and all makeup looks. Resting Wish Face is versatile and head turning. The look below made good use of Truth or Deer (which was applied all over the lid) with Chocolate Chip through the crease and Catching Fillings blended out. A bit of Sweet on Santa was added on for some subtle shimmer.

Ginger Snap Palette. The last item in this Too Faced holiday set is the Ginger Snap Palette. It is no secret that I have a slight obsession with gingerbread everything. Whenever Bath & Body Works has gingerbread scents, my closet is stocked up with candles, soaps, lotions, and shower gels. Plus, gingerbread cookies are an absolute must each and every holiday season. Needless to say, my expectations were high for this particular palette. In terms of the theme, this is absolutely perfect. There is a design with a pink tray that is overloaded with decorated gingerbread cookies. So cute! This palette is supposed to smell like gingerbread, but has a sweet and slightly spicy scent instead. It is not overly powerful and does not have that classic gingerbread scent. Oh well. At least the shadows are fantastic. This colour story definitely suits my style.

The Ginger Snap Palette has it all. There are three amazing shimmers (these are richly pigmented, creamy, and look downright incredible) and five mattes. I love that these matte shades are a little different. For instance, Make It Rein(deer), and my personal favourite, Oh, (Ginger) Snap. The latter is a warm reddish brown. I love to wear it alone on the lid with a bit of Baking Spirits Bright along the lower lash line. There is also a cheek product included in this palette. It is a very light brown, so for me, it can be used as a bronzer or blush. However, this is really only suited to lighter skin colours as it is very fair. For the look above, it was all about the Get Baked eyeshadow shade. That was applied all over the lid with Make It Rein(deer) blended through the crease and Baking Spirits Bright in the outer corner. This was a quick and easy way to enjoy a little holiday glam.

There is a whole lot to love about the Too Faced Christmas Bake Shoppe Limited Edition Makeup Collection. Cute holiday theme? Check. Lots of makeup? Check, check, and check. There is something about this particular collection that makes me happy. It has helped prolong those wonderful holiday feels well into the month of January. Thank goodness for that.

Have you tried the Christmas Bake Shoppe collection? What do you think of these holiday themed products?

    1. Aww thank you! These are definitely really fun palettes. (Chocolate chips are a weakness for me in general, even in theming!)
