updated review: no7 line correcting booster serum

It has been about nine months since my last post about the No7 Line Correcting Booster Serum. At the time of my first post about the product...I had been using the serum for two weeks. Given the fact that the product packaging claimed that there would be a visible reduction of wrinkles in one to two weeks, it seemed logical to start there. Did it work in the first two weeks? Well...maybe. Though there were some subtle improvements, it was hard to know whether that was wishful thinking or the product working as advertised. Since it has now been nine months since then, it made sense to share an updated review. Especially since I recently started to use the No7 Advanced Retinol 1.5% Complex Night Concentrate instead of the No7 Line Correcting Booster Serum. Keep reading to find out how the serum performed long-term.

The No7 Line Correcting Booster Serum was a little more expensive than what I would normally choose. (Let's face it...when it comes to important items like skin care....I am far less likely to spend extra money. For whatever reason, it is much easier for me to purchase something fun like a new eyeshadow palette or a highlighter.) It cost $45 CDN but it claimed to have fast and visible results that would appear in one to two weeks. Based on the online reviews I read, most users did not see results until 12 weeks or so. Or once they had used up multiple bottles of product.

Well, nine months later, and I am not exactly over the moon with the results. My husband thought it made a difference, but I don't personally see that it did. The forehead wrinkles are still there and as present as ever and the fine lines around my eye area are also still very much there. I used this product diligently but it was only....okay. Perhaps it prevented my wrinkles from becoming deeper or more obvious over the last nine months. However, the product came with some pretty impressive claims. Claims that my wrinkles would be visibly reduced! Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

It was recommended that for more noticeable results, the No7 Advanced Retinol 1.5% Complex Night Concentrate be used. So, recently I have started to use that instead. I was a bit worried that the retinol would cause skin irritation, but so far, there haven't been any issues whatsoever. Fingers crossed this one lives up to all of the product claims. I will definitely be doing a full review on the latest skin care item in my routine in future. But not until I know whether or not it actually works.

So, does the No7 Line Correcting Booster Serum perform well? Eh. Certainly not to the level that I anticipated (or hoped) that it would. I didn't see any significant change in the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines after nine months of dedicated use.

Have you tried the No7 Line Correcting Booster Serum? Did it work for you?

  2. It's great that you did this review again 9 months later, Shannon! I've always thought it's weird when products like this are reviewed only after a week sometimes by some people. Like....how do you know it works, right?
Thanks for the heads up about the retinol one too. I break out easily too when I've tried products with this before, but that's good to know the No7 didn't do that for you:)

    1. Yes, for sure! Some things can be reviewed earlier but when there are long-term claims...it is definitely better to share an updated review later on. <3

  6. Yes it was a very busy week but it was ok :D It was so amazing to drink cocktails with my friend today <3

Interesting review. This sounds pretty interesting but if you don't see a difference it's not that nice. But sometimes others, in this case your housband, see more than yourself so it's not that bad. But the price is really expensive.

    2. You are right about that! I am not someone that likes to spend a lot of money on skin care products....though I suppose it is inevitable!
