Happy New Year! 2019 is over and a fresh, shiny new year has just begun. It is hard to believe, but 2020 is officially underway. This is a beautiful time of renewal and hope. Whether you are someone who enjoys setting New Years Resolutions or someone who absolutely loathes them...enjoy this chance to start again. Pause, reflect on the year that has passed, and think about what you hope to see, do, and accomplish in the months ahead. Today, I am doing exactly that! I have spent time looking back at my list of goals for 2019....and an awful lot of them were either completed or significant progress was made. This makes me happy. There were makeup-related goals, fitness goals, blogging goals, reading goals, and a handful of personal goals as well. All in all, I think I did a pretty decent job of working on them. In the year ahead? I hope to take those goals one step further.
At the start of 2019, my friend and I decided our motto would be "making movements." Well, we certainly did! We pushed ourselves to step out of our comfort zones and take chances we wouldn't ordinarily take. (She did lots of amazing things, including getting a massive - and gorgeous - tattoo.) As for me? This year I wrote about things I never had before. I took on a promotion at work. I shared my personal writing with loved ones. I went to the gym for the first time and worked one-on-one with a trainer. I de-cluttered my closets and my home. The list goes on and on. Making movements was a wonderful motto for 2019. For 2020? My motto is purpose and passion. I want to spend the next twelve months actively focused on pursuing my life purpose. To spend my time on the projects, tasks, and hobbies I am most passionate about.
What is your motto for 2020? Whatever motto or mantra you choose to keep you motivated in the days and months ahead....here is wishing you a very Happy New Year. I hope you have a wonderful day with friends and family nearby.
"There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind."
Happy New Year! Wishing you and your loved ones all the very best.
