Finally! Part two of the fourth season of Emily In Paris has arrived on Netflix. More recently, the streaming service has been splitting seasons into two parts in an obvious attempt to prevent people from binge watching and then cancelling. Considering the fact that the streaming service popularized the idea of binge watching...it is especially frustrating having to wait for the rest of the episodes. At least the wait is finally over and the remaining episodes of the fourth season are available. To celebrate this release, it made sense to highlight some products from the Emily In Paris x Revolution collection. Here goes...
There are an awful lot of products included in the
Emily In Paris x Revolution collection. From lip products to highlights to bath soaps! The items that were added to my own collection are the City Of Love Eyeshadow Palette and the Champere Problems Lip Balm. The reason? I immediately loved the cute theme and how well tied to the show these products were. The whole collection is really cute and thoughtful. It captures the show and the characters well. Another bonus? Revolution products are pretty affordable. That means it is possible to enjoy all of the Emily In Paris themed goodness without breaking the bank.
It is always difficult for me to resist an eyeshadow palette. Turns out, it is impossible for me to walk away from an eyeshadow palette that is shaped like Eiffel Tower. The design is certainly unique and unusual. As I mentioned, it is shaped like the Eiffel Tower and the bottom portion flips up to reveal the eyeshadows inside. There are fifteen eyeshadows in all. According to the brand, the colour story is one giant nod to the show. "From the dark purple of Ringarde! to the baby blue of Savior and the shimmery subtly of Chateau." Talk about a cute idea. There are mattes and foils included in this palette, so there is a nice amount of variety. When it comes to the
matte shadows, some are extremely pigmented (Mon Amie, No. 8, and Ringardge! are excellent examples) but some are not as vibrant. An example of the latter is Selfie. The yellow shadow blends away into something very pale and barely there. I haven't quite figured out an effective way to incorporate that shadow into a makeup look. The foiled shadows, these have a gorgeous finish. Though they can be worn on their own, the impact is much greater when the foiled shadows are added over the matte shadows. I especially love the shimmery blue eyeshadow, Savoir.
Next is the Champere Problems Lip Balm from
Revolution. It is described as a "Parisian spin on a classic lip balm," and has a champagne bottled shaped tin. So cute and well themed! Inside the bottle shaped tin is a vanilla and almond scented balm. Though this isn't my favourite way to apply a lip product (tubes are better in the sense that you don't have to worry about dipping your finger into a product over and over) this is a really wonderful product overall. The lip balm smells good, is hydrating and comfortable, and looks ultra cute on my nightstand. This is one themed item that is both fun and practical.
The makeup look above makes good use of the peach and pink eyeshadow shades in the palette. I used Normandy through the crease and applied Mon Amie all over the lid. Then it was Pinky Swear layered over top for that foiled finish and a bit of Poetry in the outer corner and along the lower lash line. Chateau was used on the inner corner and underneath the brow bone. Then the Champere Problems Lip Balm was used on the lips. These Emily In Paris themed products from Revolution are a lot of fun to use, especially now that the final episodes of season four are available. On that note, it is time for me to start watching....

ReplyDeleteI could not help but notice that it appears a LOT of work goes into the makeup, hairstyling and outfit fashions of the characters on this show (I love watching it).
I have not tried Revolution products yet. It looks like they have a nice range of colours. Your eye-makeup, hair and lipstick look gorgeous!

DeleteThis is such a fun review of the Emily In Paris x Revolution collection! The Eiffel Tower-shaped eyeshadow palette sounds adorable, and I love how well the products are tied to the theme of the show. The shades and packaging make them so tempting, especially for fans of the series. Time to check out the new episodes and experiment with those gorgeous foiled shadows!

DeleteYou look gorgeous :-D I don't have Netflix anymore so donno what's on it. We have Amazon and Disney. I have started watching S4 of Only Murders in the Building. I started watching it after you posted about it many moons ago! How good does Steve Martin look for his age? He looks amazing, time certainly has been good to him.
ReplyDeleteThere is lots on Disney+! I watch a lot on there as well. I'm so glad you started watching OMITB! The best show! I just love Steve Martin. He is so amazing!

ReplyDeleteThe show is fantastic! Thank you very much <3
DeleteYes that is frustrating. I cancelled my Netflix account about 8 months ago. Will turn it on again at some point but not in a rush. The EIP palettes and products are so fun. I can see why you like it! You created a nice understated look here.

I know a lot of people who are cancelling streaming services and then re-joining for shorter periods of time. It makes a lot of sense to do it that way now that the prices are so high!
DeleteThe idea of splitting into two and waiting is nerve-wracking, you are so right. I have seen the products but I have not had the chance to try them. The ones you have tried look nice. Thanks for your review :)
ReplyDeleteRight? It is such a frustrating thing to do! Thank you <3
DeleteThe packaging of both products looks very appealing and the eyeshadow colours look gorgeous too. Such a shame about the practically invisible yellow ... xxx
ReplyDeleteThe packaging is really fun! :D
DeleteSuch a cute collection! Love the champagne bottle! xx
