It's always a little bittersweet. Coming home from vacation, that is. On one hand, it's a huge relief to be back on familiar soil, enjoying your home, and catching up with friends. On the other hand, your mind can't help but wander back to those blissful travel memories. That's kind of where I am now...caught in the in between. A lot has happened since my last blog post and I can't wait to tell you all about it. For now, I just wanted to let you all know that I arrived home safe and sound! Few things are better than travel. Seeing new places, leaving the familiar behind, and having fun is often exactly what the doctor ordered. Personally, I love traveling as much as I am able to. That usually results in one larger trip per year and two or three weekend getaways. For my large trip this year, I'll be heading to my absolute favourite place, Walt Disney World. Actually, by the time this post goes live, I'll be there! Yes, I will be enjoying the sunshine with a Mickey ice cream bar in hand. To say I'm excited would be a massive understatement. Disney is my happy place.

Lately, my mind has been all Disney all the time. Even when it comes to makeup. Especially when it comes to makeup. A while back, I picked up an eyeshadow palette from Hot Topic. Though I tend to skip over palettes from this store on a general basis (because you can't test it out)....this was one that I could not resist. The Disney Moana Heart of Te Fiti Eyeshadow Palette stood out for a few reasons. One, the bright and beautiful packaging. Two, my total addiction to all things makeup and beauty related. But mostly it was because I have a complete and total obsession with Moana.

single eyeshadow review: camila cabello x l'oreal (havana)

Single eyeshadows? No thank you. I'll admit, it's been a very long time since I purchased a single eyeshadow. When I first started getting into makeup, there were tons and tons of single eyeshadows floating around in my small collection. However, since eyeshadow palettes began to conquer the beauty industry....fewer and fewer single shadows entered my life. It's not that they're bad. It's simply easier to grab one eyeshadow trio, quad, or palette to create a complete look. That being said, I made an exception. L'Oreal teamed up with Camila Cabello to release a limited edition Havana collection. Though I'm fairly certain this collection was released a long while back, it only made its way into my local drugstore recently. Out of everything, I was most interested in the shade Hot Havana.

There are certain names in the makeup and beauty industry that everyone knows. Pat McGrath is one of them. Her artistic nature and creative eye has helped this makeup artist (and creator of the cosmetics line, Pat McGrath Labs) a true icon. No wonder Allure magazine dubbed her "an invaluable asset to the beauty world." Recently, the Sephora nearest to me started carrying some items from her makeup line. Cue excitement. Though there were a couple of different options, I added the LUST: Mini MatteTrance Lipstick Trio in Skin Show to my collection.
