romantic movies to watch this valentine's day.

Love is in the air. Or at least it will be soon! Valentine's Day is just around the corner, which means this is the perfect time to watch all sorts of romantic movies. There are quite a few in my collection and some of them are all-time favourites. Need some recommendations this holiday? Not quite sure what to watch? Here are some romantic movie favourites for Valentine's Day.

Music and Lyrics and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Both of the movies above are favourites of mine. Music and Lyrics is something that has long been an obsession. It's hard to believe it came out in 2007, because I vividly remember watching the movie in the theater and then listening to the soundtrack obsessively for months and months on end. (Confession: I still listen to that soundtrack obsessively. The music in that movie is fabulous.) Another romantic favourite is How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. This is an instant "pick me up" movie. If I'm having a difficult day or want to feel comforted, this is an ideal choice.

Blast From The Past and He's Just Not That Into You. The next two movies on this list are some comfort movies of mine. Blast from the Past has a bit of an unusual premise, but is so sweet, endearing, and heartwarming. He's Just Not That Into You is one of my favourite movies of all time. I love how the different stories interconnect and all of the different characters. And the line, "You are my exception," makes me happy cry every single time no matter what. The plot between Gigi and Alex is the best.

Win a Date with Tad Hamilton and Isn't It Romantic. Clearly, my weakness is funny, sweet, and unexpected romantic movies. I am not so much into drama, loss, and pain. I will always prefer a happy ending. And these two movies deliver on the happy scale. Win a Date with Tad Hamilton is a charming wish fulfillment film that boasts a lot of character growth for all involved. Isn't It Romantic is hilarious and pokes fun at traditional rom-com tropes. It is an enjoyable watch from start to finish.

Kate & Leopold and You've Got Mail. Meg Ryan movies are just a good idea. These are two of my favourites from her. You've Got Mail is so charming and has that classic enemies to lovers storyline. It is comforting, hopeful, and romantic. All that said, my favourite romantic movie of all time is Kate & Leopold. I have watched this movie too many times to count. The very first time that I saw it, the movie became a full-blown obsession. I love the fish out of water element and the strong characters. It is perfection all the way through. If you are looking for the ideal Valentine's Day movie, look no further than Kate & Leopold.

What movies will you be watching this Valentine's Day? Do you like any of these movies?
