Skin care has become more popular than ever. The pandemic shifted an awful lot of beauty habits, and there is now a renewed desire to focus on pampering the skin. With that came several different celebrity skin care lines...including J Lo Beauty. (Check out my first review on the brand here.) Being a fan of Jennifer Lopez, it was only a matter of time before a product or two was incorporated into my regular skin care routine. Over the holidays, this J Lo Beauty set was gifted to me and I have been using it ever since! The set included two different products: That Blockbuster Wonder Cream and That J Lo Glow Serum. Wondering how these items perform? Here are some mini reviews of both J Lo Beauty products.

testing out jlo beauty skin care products
That J Lo Glow Serum. First in the set was the That J Lo Glow Serum. This particular serum is 0.5 fluid ounces but the full-sized version of the serum is 1 ounce and costs a whopping $98. One thing is certain: J Lo Beauty is anything but affordable. The serum claims to be triple-activated and is designed to make the skin glow, look brighter, tighter, and boost hydration. After using this serum for a while, my skin still does not seem any glowier, brighter, tighter, or more hydrated. I just haven't noticed a difference! That being said, the product has a nice light scent, dries quickly, and feels comfortable. Skin care items can take a while to make a notable difference, so this serum will continue to be used on my end until the bottle is empty. Hopefully by then, my skin will have that enviable J Lo glow. Something that I do really enjoy about this product (and all of the J Lo Beauty items) is the packaging. The bottle has gold and clear components. The combination feels really luxe and looks beautiful.
That Blockbuster Wonder Cream. Next up is the That Blockbuster Wonder Cream, which has been getting lots and lots of rave reviews online. It was a product that I heard about well before trying it out for myself. Needless to say, my expectations were high. This contains hyaluronic acid, olive complex, and potent peptides to provide long-lasting hydration and a dewy glow. Let me be honest: this product performs well and makes my skin feel moisturized. That being said, the scent is fairly strong and floral and the texture of the product itself is super weird. It feels almost...spongey? Certainly not what I was expected. I don't love the texture, but the product itself works well. The packaging is another win. It has that same gold and clear combination and it looks stunning on my vanity. All in all, a bit of a mixed experience here.
Jennifer Lopez is an icon. Her music, movies, perfumes, and skin care brand continue to keep her on the A-list. It has definitely been interesting testing out some of these J Lo Beauty products. Though I have some mixed feelings on both the That J Lo Glow Serum and The Blockbuster Wonder Cream, there is no denying that these products have an awful lot of fans.
Have you tried anything from J Lo Beauty yet? What did you think of the products?
