updated review: hard candy glamoflauge pro full coverage concealer

Emily Noel first introduced me to the Glamoflauge concealer from Hard Candy in 2014. I've been watching her YouTube videos for at least ten years now and continue to trust her reviews to this day. Why? She is always right. The Glamoflauge concealer is just one such example. It is without a doubt the most full coverage concealer at the drugstore. Not to mention the fact that it is ultra affordable! This is a product that I have been using on a regular basis since that introduction back in 2014. More recently, this iconic drugstore product has had a bit of a makeover. So, it only made sense to do an updated review here on the creation of beauty is art. Here is everything you need to know about this must-have concealer.

In the past, the Glamoflauge concealer came in a squeeze tube. You can see what the old packaging looked like here. It was simple and easy to use. That being said, the new Glamoflauge Pro Full Coverage Concealer has had a serious upgrade in terms of the packaging. Instead of a squeeze tube, there is now a standard plastic tube with a large doe foot applicator inside. This new design ensures that product can be placed exactly where you want it...and not too much is used. Though I am someone who tends to be resistant to change (I am still mourning the loss of my favourite Rimmel foundation many years later) the new packaging is definitely a positive change for Hard Candy. It makes application even easier than it was before. Plus, the light pink colour on the top makes the concealer even more aesthetically pleasing. It is also easier to store, which is a bonus.

As for the quality of the product, this is unchanged. The packaging states that the Glamoflauge concealer is made with licorice root. I have no idea if it always was an ingredient or if this is a new addition, but the quality is consistent in both the old and new versions. This product is full coverage, blends easily, and it's wonderful for the under eye area. Something to keep in mind? A little goes a long way. This concealer truly is full coverage and you don't need more than a small dot to cover dark circles or blemishes. This comes in several different shades, but I chose 1970 Ivory. It was the lightest option and works well for my pale skin. It is nice to have a concealer that is light enough to really brighten.

Have you tried the new Hard Candy Glamoflauge Pro Full Coverage Concealer? What did you think of it?
