winter skin care week: favourite winter products

Certain products are better suited to certain times of the year. Currently? There are several winter friendly items that have been in regular rotation. To finish off winter skin care week here on the creation of beauty is art. it only made sense to highlight some of those products. That includes some must-have skin care and even a little bit of makeup. Ready to take a look at a few of the standouts? Here are some of my current favourite winter products. 

Just What Your Skin Wants - Skin Care Set by Nivea. When it comes to accessible and affordable skin care brands, Nivea is one that stands out. They have such a wonderful assortment of products...and they work well. For Christmas, my husband treated me to the Just What Your Skin Wants set, and the name really does ring true! There are so many great winter skin care items inside. That includes the Moisturizing Day Cream (it has an SPF of 15, has a sweet scent, and a thicker consistency), the Nourishing Night Cream (which was much needed, has a similarly sweet scent, and is fairly thick), the 3-in-1 Biodegradable Dry Skin Cleansing Wipes (the fact that these makeup wipes are designed for dry skin is a game changer and I will likely be repurchasing in future), Essential Lip Balm (which I will sadly be passing along to someone else, since their new formula is dreadful), and a Nourishing Radiance Sheet Mask (which is really moisturizing and works well). All in all, this has been a wonderful skin care set to use this winter. The day and night creams have been especially wonderful. 

Ciate London x Miss Piggy Collection - All About Moi Creme Face Palette. The Miss Piggy Collection from Ciate London is just about the cutest collaboration ever. The pink packaging! The Miss Piggy pictures! The adorable shade names! Blush is an essential part of my makeup routine. My collection has lots and lots of powder blushes to choose from, but there were no cream blushes. Then my mom gifted me this Miss Piggy cream blush palette. Since my skin is dry in general (and extra dry once the winter months roll around) it has been especially useful to have cream blushes to choose from. And the shades in this palette are ridiculously beautiful. There is Flaunt It (shimmery rose), Fabulous (coral), Diva (terracotta rose), and Oh Kermie! (warm peach). The formula is smooth, creamy, and easy to apply. I love how it blends so naturally on the skin.

This winter, there have definitely been some standout products making my life easier...and they have been keeping my skin nourished, moisturized, and glowy. Thank goodness for skin care and beauty items.
