online shopping: my first ROMWE order.

As a fashion fanatic on a budget...I have heard about an awful lot of online style websites. One that continued to pop up was ROMWE. Despite hearing about it over and over again, I ever ordered anything from them. There was no particular reason. I just never got around to it! Well, a little while ago, I finally did get around to it. I saw an ad that showed ROMWE offered 60% off of your first purchase. Great, I thought. What a perfect way to try out their clothes and see what all the fuss was about.

I was pretty excited. So, I spent a solid half hour on the website, picking and choosing out what I wanted to buy. Eventually, I had five things in my cart. I went to check out, applied my 60% off code, and got.....$1.20 off. What?! I was so confused. That wouldn't even be 60% off the tax, let alone my first purchase. I was super frustrated and almost bailed on the entire purchase. Except that I'd fallen in love with one particular shirt.

After all of that, I ended up re-doing my order. I weeded out a few things that I didn't really love - and wound up with two shirts. So, what was my experience like? Mixed. As you know, I did not get the 60% off. That being said, the shipping was ridiculously fast. It took less than a week for the items to arrive. As for the clothes themselves, it was a so-so kind of reaction.

The original shirt I'd fallen in love with was just as I hoped it would be. The sun and moon design was super cute and the tie dye effect with the halter style is perfection. As for the velvet tank top and choker set? Not so much. I like the shirt a lot (even though the material is really cheap feeling) because I am a total sucker for velvet. The choker, however, was way too big. Like, huge. I had to cut it and sew it back together to make it small enough for my neck. And I don't have a super small neck or anything. It was really strange.

Overall, my ROMWE experience was....okay. Despite all of the buzz this company has, I can't see myself ordering from them again in the future. While the shipping speed was great, the clothes themselves were too hit or miss for me to feel confident placing another order.

On another note! My latest YouTube video is up for the creation of beauty is art. It is full of highlights from my Walt Disney World trip....

Have you ever bought from ROMWE? What was your experience like?
