summer favourites series: part five


Summer always seems to go by so fast. I feel like it just began, except now I am clinging to the remaining days! This post is the final part of my summer favourites series, and it is all about keeping your lips beautiful and protected from the sun. The perfect lip product for this summer? Maybelline's Baby Lips.

Baby Lips is a lip balm with an that offers 8 hours of hydration, and is said to improve the lip condition after four weeks of use. My experience with the product has been overwhelmingly positive. I love that it add a ton of moisture to the lips. It also has a slightly fruity scent to it, which is quite nice. And best of all, Baby Lips has SPF 30. Soft lips and an SPF to protect them from the sun - perfect! I bought mine on sale for $3 CDN.

It comes in six different shades. I currently own Cherry Me and Pink Punch. They are really pretty colours for an every day makeup look. Cherry Me is a rosy kind of shade, while Pink Punch is a light, soft pink. My favourite is definitely Pink Punch. It is so cute and fun, and just perfect for a hot summer day!

    I bought the Peachy one a while ago and I love the color and the fact that it has SPF, but unfortunately the formula rubs off my lips in like 5 minutes so I have to keep reapplying too often and my lips have not changed...they were still pretty dry, until I switched to a regular chapstick (Dr. Bronner's) and now I'm starting to notice a difference. I wanted to like the Maybelline one, especially because the price is awesome, but...eh....if I buy one again, it would just be because I like the color.
