Here it is - part two of my recent shopping haul!
I went into Sephora with a few things on my wish list. I ended up purchasing Urban Decay's Naked Palette, Benefit's They're Real! mini-mascara, and Tarte's blush and bronzer set. I also was recently given a set of Sephora Nail Bling Nail Stickers that I haven't had a chance to try yet.
Urban Decay: Naked Palette
The most important thing on my makeup wishlist was Urban Decay's Naked Palette. I have been wanting to splurge on this for some time, and finally had an excuse to! When I went into Sephora, I was still debating between the original Naked Palette or Naked 2, but ultimately chose to start with the original.
I've been using this palette a lot since I bought it. Generally, I love using more neutral colours to create a smokey eye. Browns and golds are my go-to eye shadow shades, which makes this palette perfect for me! I love the range of colours and the variety of shimmery and matte shades.
Benefit: They're Real! Mascara
After hearing rave reviews of Benefit's They're Real! mascara, I was intrigued. Not feeling secure enough to purchase the full-sized mascara, I decided to buy this smaller size to try it out. Now that I've tried it, I am wishing I bought the full size one!
My favourite mascara has always been Dior's Diorshow - it is just an excellent mascara all around. But after trying Benefit's They're Real mascara, I am completely torn between an old love and a new favourite!
The mascara wand with this mascara is amazing. The rounded tip of the wand makes getting those inner lashes and bottom lashes a million times easier. The mascara itself lasts all day without any smudging, even in the summer heat! And the best part? It makes my lashes look amazing. I have a new love in my life, and it is Benefit's They're Real! mascara!
Tarte: Dollface Blush and Park Avenue Princess Bronzer
When it comes to blush, NARS is my go-to brand. However, I have heard some really wonderful things about Tarte, but had never tried anything from them. So when I saw this blush and bronzer set, I thought it would be a great opportunity to try out something from the brand.
While the blush looks like a really bright pink in the packaging, it actually comes off as a much deeper and richer colour. It looks really beautiful, especially on bronzey skin! It lasts really well and the pigmentation is quite good!
I actually love the bronzer more than the blush! Unlike so many other bronzers that I have, this has a nice golden tone to it, rather than brown. It looks beautiful on the cheeks and is absolutely perfect for summer!
Have you tried any of these products? What are your most recent makeup buys?
I have really wanted to try the Benefit mascara is it worth it?
