cosmic intense (kylie jenner perfume and purse review)

The best way to describe summer? Intense. The sunshine and heat can be a lot to deal with, even with sunglasses and air conditioning. The summer season officially starts next week, but the warm temperatures have already arrived in full force. Given the intensity of this time of year, it seemed only right to talk about the new Kylie Jenner fragrance: Cosmic Intense. 

A few months back, the Cosmic Intense eau de parfum was gifted to me by a loved one - along with a Cosmic Intense inspired purse. Before reviewing the latest version of Cosmic (there is the original Cosmic as well as Cosmic 2.0)...there is the Cosmic Intense purse to discuss. This is a bright red purse with a short handle and the perfume logo printed subtly on the front. I love the shape of the purse, the gorgeous red colour, and how much fits inside. The only drawback is that this purse does not have a closure. This works well for running errands or heading out for a dinner date, but for a full day of activity, it needs to have a closure of some sort. I have debated whether a magnetic closure is something I should add, because I really love this purse. 

Now for a review of the Cosmic Intense eau de parfum from Kylie Jenner. This is described as a "bold, ambery-gourmand evolution of the original Cosmic." It is supposed to be creamier and warmer with heightened vanilla notes and a scent that leaves a lasting impression. This has star jasmine, blood orange, golden amber accord, benzoin, vanilla, and musk accord. Out of all of the different versions of Cosmic, this is my favourite. It is warm and rich, but still feels light and wearable. I don't tend to love perfumes that are overly heavy, but even though this release is more intense, it doesn't feel like too much. Something else that stands out? The bottle. All of the Cosmic versions have a beautiful sculptural bottle design, but this one is bright red. It definitely matches the Intense name. All in all, Cosmic Intense from Kylie Jenner is another winner. The scent is fabulous and the bottle is bright and beautiful. This bold perfume has been adding just the right amount of intensity to my days.
