cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right

Happy New Year! This is my first post in a fresh new year and it is kind of exciting. Though the end of 2018 is a little bittersweet (so many wonderful things happened)....I am thrilled to start 2019 with optimism and joy in my heart. Today, I took a little bit of time to look back at my resolutions from last year. I did my best to keep up with them throughout the year and am quite happy with all of the progress I made. I was able to cross many things off completely and accomplish a number of personal, spiritual, and professional goals. There is no doubt about it: 2018 was a fabulous year.

For a while, I wasn't sure it would be. However, what I thought would be a difficult situation wound up being a huge blessing. I've been able to move forward from a negative situation and reconnect with my true self. Since then, I have been happier than ever and find myself feeling especially grateful for everything (and everyone) I choose to have in my life. This past year, I found myself again. I've spent time with people I love. I've started writing for a website I truly believe in. I met a celebrity I admire. I did a bit of travelling. I interviewed my favourite band. I've made new friends and reconnected with old ones. I've started writing more for myself. I've read more. I've learned new things. I've grown and I am so so grateful for this past year.
