review: the roaring 20's indulgence eyeshadow palette

Every once and a while, a loved one sees a beauty product that I might like and treats me to it for no reason at all. It always makes me feel special to be thought of in that way. (And new makeup is always fun.) That is what happened recently with The Roaring 20's Indulgence Eyeshadow Palette from Rude Cosmetics. This is a brand that I have had some positive experiences with in the past. The colour stories tend to be really interesting. So, it was a treat to test out a 1920s inspired release.

When it comes to an eyeshadow palette, a theme is always welcome. The Roaring 20's Indulgence Eyeshadow Palette from Rude Cosmetics is so well themed. From the cover art to the eyeshadow names...this is fabulous. There are sorts of thoughtful little details that bring the theme through and elevate the overall experience. As for the colour story, there is a lot to love, from unexpected neutrals to bold colours, it is possible to create makeup looks that are colourful, basic, or a little bit of both. Something else to note? This is a well rounded eyeshadow palette overall. There are mattes and shimmers to choose from as well as light, medium, and dark colours. The theme is fun, the colour story is beautiful, and there is a nice variety overall.

When it comes to the quality of The Roaring 20's Indulgence Eyeshadow Palette, it can be summed up in one word: impressive. Both the mattes and shimmers are bold pigmented and easy to blend. The formula is fantastic and there is consistency throughout. Some of the standout shadows are Manhattan, Fringe, Hotsy Totsy, Harmony, and Gin. (Clearly, it is the shimmers that make me happiest, but things that sparkle and shine are my weakness.) It is wonderful to be able to use the matte shadows as a complement to those dynamic shimmers. As you can see from the photo above, the shimmers are dramatic and a whole lot of fun. It has been such a treat to put this 1920s inspired eyeshadow palette from Rude Cosmetics to use.

  1. What an amazing palette! As I've got a soft spot for all things 1920s, I'd buy this one for the packaging alone! xxx
