katy perry makeup tutorial.

Katy Perry looked flawless at the premiere for The Smurfs. Not only did she don a white Smurfette sequined dress, but her makeup was amazing. A sultry combination of drama and fun, Katy rocked the premiere. This look is pretty dramatic, but it's also really cute! So if you're going out, consider giving this look a try.

STEP 1: Moisturize your skin, and apply a primer.

STEP 2: Apply your foundation. Katy's skin is lighter, and also flawless, so choose a foundation with a lot of coverage for this look.

STEP 3: Fill in your eyebrows. The brows in this look are full and well groomed.

STEP 4: Using a large bronzer brush, apply bronzer on the cheeks, heading up towards the temples and forehead, and on the nose and chin. Katy's nose is slightly contoured, so you can contour, if that's something you want to do. Don't go too extreme though! I would recommend using a shadow a shade or two deeper than your natural skin tone. Remember to blend!

STEP 5: Apply a warm toned blush to the cheeks.

STEP 6: Apply a light blue or teal colour across the eyelid. The shadow will be going up above the crease.

STEP 7: Using a dark blue or navy, apply across the upper and lower lash line. Blend from the upper lash line into the lid from the outer corner.

STEP 8: Using a fluffy brush, go over the crease with a light green colour, blending together with the light blue across the lid. Blend blend blend!

STEP 9: Use some of the light blue colour on the lower lash line, under the dark blue colour.

STEP 10: Apply a light, shimmery eyeshadow shade on the inner part of the eye.

STEP 11: Apply a thin line of eyeliner on the upper and lower lash lines.

STEP 12: Put on one coat of mascara on the top and bottom lashes.

STEP 13: Apply concealer to any spots with redness, (ie blemishes or around the nose) and under eyes. Wait until you have finished with the eye shadow before applying concealer for this look, as there may be a lot of drop off.

STEP 14: Using a pair of tweezers to hold the false lashes (I would recommend a pair that are mid-sized, but not too thick), apply lash glue. Wait 20-30 seconds for glue to get tacky and looking down, carefully apply the lashes. Secure into place with the tweezers or your fingers.

STEP 15: Line lips with a nude or red lip liner. Use a lip colour that is a similar shade to the one Katy wore - a soft red.

STEP 16: Using a cream or powder highlight, apply to the apples of your cheeks, chin, and nose. Katy's skin looks glowy and natural in this look.

STEP 17: Spray your face with a setting spray to keep the look in place.

STEP 18: That's it! You now look like Katy Perry!
