Lauren Conrad remains a style icon. Recently, there was a Laguna Beach reunion that aired exclusively on the Roku Channel. Thankfully, our television set came with the Roku Channel already included, so watching the reunion was a breeze. The reunion special included the cast members from season one of the show and there was all sorts of behind the scenes information shared. As someone who was seriously obsessed with Laguna Beach when it aired (and then The Hills), it was nice to "go back to the beginning." This love it or leave it? post is dedicated to the outfit Lauren Conrad wore on the red carpet for the reunion. 

What I Love: There is so much to love about this red carpet look. Lauren Conrad has always been known for her style (she even released a Style book back in the day, which is sitting on my bookshelf at this very moment) and this look highlights the reason. She has a way of elevating simple looks in a way that makes them seem special and unique. I love the winged liner, the beachy waves, and the simple accessories. I also think the white was an excellent choice. The strapless design is lovely and the dress fits perfectly on the top. The texture on the dress was another positive choice, as it photographs well and adds more interest.

What I Loathe: I wouldn't say there is anything that I loathe about this red carpet look from the Laguna Beach reunion special. That said, the bottom of the dress is not my favourite. I love the idea of the fitted top and then more fullness on the bottom, but the way this dress folds in the front makes it look a bit awkward, especially because it seems to be slightly asymmetrical.

Overall, this red carpet look is a love, because of the amazing hair, makeup, accessories, and the overall idea of the dress. However, the bottom of the dress is not my favourite, as the fold in the front makes that portion of the dress feel a little bit off.
