current favourite cheek products (blush and highlight)

What beauty products have you been reaching for lately? With spring fully underway, there are a few blushes and highlights that have been in heavy rotation for me. Colourful, fun, and easy to wear...that is the best way to describe my makeup preferences this season. Need a little inspiration? Here is a closer look at some recent cheek product favourites.

Current Favourite Blush Products. The first two products are blushes that I have been especially loving lately. The first is Ultraviolet from Lorac. I have a serious weakness for purple blushes and have for many years. Once the spring season rolls around, it is hard to resist a bold purple blush. These can be applied lightly or a little more heavy handed, depending on how dramatic you want the makeup look to be. This Lorac blush is colourful, buildable, and a whole lot of fun. The second blush shown is Foxglove from KVD and has been featured several times here on the creation of beauty is art. I love that this blush shade is warm and pairs well with all sorts of different makeup looks. If I am wearing a little more colour on the eyes, this blush is the ideal choice. It adds colour without overwhelming what is happening elsewhere. Both of these blushes are favourites!

Current Favourite Highlight Products. There are also some highlights that have been used often in the last little while. The first is from r.e.m. beauty and it is the Interstellar Highlighter Topper in the shade Miss Neptune. It is a gorgeous purple highlight that offers lots of shine and a subtle pop of colour. This highlight works well with both of the blushes mentioned earlier. Another favourite is the Midnight Bloom highlight from Quo Beauty. This is a cream product that adds lots of sparkle and shine to the cheeks. It has pink, purple, and gold glitter...and Midnight Bloom is a quick and easy way to have fun with makeup.

  1. I'm a huge fan og blush since I've got a very fair skin, and the right blush can alone do half of make up on me!^^
I'm very intrigued by that lilac blush!
About highlighter, I love it as well but don't use very often since I fear to use it wrong and that it could "pop out" too much...
