love it or leave it? ariana grande

Ariana Grande has had a long and varied career - and she is only in her early thirties. From Nickelodeon star to chart topper and now Academy Award nominee...her career is impressive to say the least. I have written about Ariana many times on the creation of beauty is art. over the years thanks to her popular line of fragrances and her makeup brand r.e.m. beauty. I love her music, her beauty releases, and thought she was wonderful in Wicked. Recently, she was out celebrating her nomination for Best Supporting Actress in an ultra glamorous outfit. Is it a love it or leave it? Keep reading for my take on this night out look.

What I Love: There is a lot that I love about this outfit. The material of the Schiaparelli dress is beautiful and I love the colour so much. Ariana is definitely in her pink era, thanks to playing Glinda in Wicked. The corset dress apparently costs a whopping $7,100, but the details are lovely. The length of the sleeves and the mid section remind me of something Old Hollywood. I like the playfulness of the purse as well. The light pink purse has a face on the front! It is so cute and such a fun addition to what is otherwise a very glamorous look. I also love the matching satin shoes, the simple accessories, and the slicked back hairstyle.

What I Loathe: This outfit is almost perfect. The only thing that does not wow (in my opinion anyway) is the bottom portion of the dress. Since Ariana is ultra petite and the upper portion of the dress is quite form-fitting, the volume on the bottom becomes a bit overwhelming. The bottom portion of the dress looks heavy in comparison to everything else.

So, it is a love it or leave it? This is a love! Despite the fact that the bottom portion of the dress looks a bit overwhelming on Ariana Grande, everything else is just spectacular. I love the sleek hairstyle, the simple accessories and makeup, the soft pink colour, the whimsical purse, and the old school glamour. I can't wait to see what Ariana will wear in the months to come.

What do you think of this outfit from Ariana Grande? Love it or leave it?

  3. I totally agree with your take! The Schiaparelli dress is stunning, and Ariana’s soft pink color choice is perfect for her Glinda era. The Old Hollywood vibes are definitely there, and the whimsical purse is such a fun touch that gives the look a bit of personality. I do see what you mean about the bottom being a bit overwhelming for her frame, but overall, the ensemble is gorgeous. It’s a definite love for me, too—so much elegance and charm mixed with playful details. Can't wait to see what she wears next!
